Since the first thing on some members' minds is to give a new poster a hard time, I've reformatted his poll so that you can get off your high horses.
Incidentally, I find people who type in all small case rather timid. It reads as if they're afraid to make any kind of important statement.

Links Awakening (original b&w, DX, whatever) is the all time best Zelda game in my humble opinion.
2nd is SNES Link to the Past.
The rest.. is debatable :)

First of all, the above person needs to get laid or something. You should find some kind of an outlet for that unnecessary hostility you obviously carry around. It can't be healthy. :D
Anyway, I chose the Original Legend of Zelda. It is a classic and brings back the best of memories.

As much as I love LttP, I had to say "Zelda 2: The Adventure of Link" because it was the first Zelda game I ever played and holds alot of memories for me

it was hard picking between Link to the Past and Link's Awakening.
i choose Link to the Past just because it looked worlds better, was bigger and took longer to complete, so generally it was a longer, better, zelda experience. but Link's Awakening has the best story of any Zelda period.

Majora's Mask. Just because it's different, tons of side-quests that you actually want to coplete... can't forget Dolphin Swimming with Zora Link!

I dunno.. I still am of the opinion that Link's Awakening.. although a GB game is BIGGER than Link to the Past. Am I mistaken?
Anyway in a sense Link's Awakening is for all intents and purposes, Link to the Past part II aint it? :)

Ocarina of Time is my favourite, with Majora's Mask a close second.
Ones I didn't like are Link to the Past and Wind Waker.
I also have a soft spot for Zelda II: The Adventure of Link.
Zelda:OoT is my all time favorite.
But Link to the Past is a VERY close second.

A Link to the Past and both the N64 games were awesome!!! of course the original NES would be my next runner ups. Can't wait to see what the new Zelda game will be like I eat up all the screenshots of the game I can find.

Oot being one of the WORST zelda games, I had to pick between zelda, and link to the past. Even though I thinkg LTTP is a much better game, the first zelda game has more playtime for me probly, and is one of the best games of all time.

I'm with you. Maybe I'm biased because I loved the original 3 games.. but I could never get into the 3D Zelda's, they were too slow paced and boring.

Surprised Minish Cap has no votes, its a great game. Doesn't come close to Link to the Past or OoT, but surpasses many others such as the Wind Waker and the Oracle titles in my opinion.

I love 'em all, and I'm just finishing "Minish Cap" (I'm at the final boss battle, I just haven't had time to play lately!)
I'm going with "Ocarina of Time" as my fave Zelda.
The biggest reason is that every game after it has reminded me of OOT in one way or another, like no other Zelda has.
I had forgotten how much I liked OOT until I got that bonus disc with my Wind Waker preorder. Playing that game again brought back a lot of good memories. Not quite the revolution that SM64 was (since it owes some of itself to that classic), but a great introduction into a new style (3D) of gaming.

I never thought I'd say this but LttP had to step down as my #1 Zelda game after Wind Waker absolutely blew me away with its magic animation and 100% pure fun gameplay.

I went with Link to the Past. It is hard for me to shun the NES games since I loved them so much at the time, but I just can't get into them like I used to. Link to the Past has more replay value for me. Also, playing Minish Cap right now has a very similar feel to LttP and maybe that's affecting my vote.
I am amazed someone went out there with the Windwaker vote too.

Finally, someone who agrees with me. I *LOVE* Zelda but I just can't get into this game. A Link To The Past is by far my favorite, with Link's Awakening and Wind Waker right behind it.
