((Dreamcast Link-up..?/F355 Challenge))

I've been messing around with this game F355 Challenge lately on the Dreamcast.I went looking for some codes at Gamefaqs to open the tracks and found:

Alternate way to unlock Link Play
Another way to unlock Versus Link Play, is to press and hold L and R on the steering wheel.
Note: You need another TV, another Dreamcast, another copy of F355 Challenge and a link up lead to play Versus Link mode.
Mode Link
To have the Link Mode in the US or EUR version of F355 Challenge, maintain the ''X+Y'' button in the menu.
http://www.gamefaqs.com/console/dreamcast/code/257797.html
Unlock Link Versus Play
To unlock link versus play in the English version of the game, hold L + R at the options screen and it will be selectable........................................ ..........................................

I'm curious is if anyone has ever done this.

What kind of cable/wire do I need to create the Link/Is that all I need...
Where do I hook up the cable..To the Modems..?

What other Dreamcast Games are linkable..?

I think there's some weird little serial port on the back of the DC that's sort of similar in appearance to the A/V cable jack. I wonder where one might obtain such a cable... Or at least pinouts and connectors to build one.

This is the cable you need http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=41053&item=8197043118&rd=1&ssPageName=WD1V
I think F355 and Virtua On were the only games that you could link

wow.....that's pretty expensive for a cable that only 2 games make use of....i guess its like the BBA for the GCN....very limited use

combine that with the fact that if i wanted to get F355 locally, my local wal-mart still has a few copies at $40 (i know 2 copies on ebay or something would be cheaper).....and the cost of another DC setup, that would be one expensive game to play

Have the folks at Wal-Mart actually scan the game and check the price. Sometimes they don't update the tags on older games to reflect markdowns. Let's just say that the copy of Tony Hawk 3 for N64 that I bought was in fact not $40 like the sticker suggested. Heh.

I had the set-up and it's great when you play against another good trained player. Also it's big fun with Virtual On. And the costs for this set-up are low, I also have and X-Box link set-up with Out Run 2, that one was much more expensive.

I was just wondering about this too. That sucks only 2 games use it. But still cool.

What racing wheel do you guys like and use? I have a Concept 4 Racing Wheel that I really like. I am not sure about the others like the Mad Katz.

Did some checking and here are some games that use the VS Link Cable.

Ferrari-355
Virtua On
Daytona USA 2001
Capcom vs. SNK

I am thinking the games that support this will show it on the back of the CD, I don't have any that support it. Yet...
