Rather than announce each new title - especially since I've got about 20 new ones lined upat the moment - I thought I'd just post the updates here so you can check out new games as they arrive.

I've changed the policy a bit. The games you can earn meseta in and get trophies with cost 5 meseta to play. The games there that are just for fun (no score submission installed) cost nothing to play.

First updates include:

Zoo Keeper (http://www.digitpress.com/forum/activity.php?mode=game&id=62&parent=true) - this one has been up since the weekend, it's not the Taito game, it's the Nintendo DS game - or something close to it. VERY addictive.

Missile Strike (http://www.digitpress.com/forum/activity.php?mode=game&id=77&parent=true) - also available since the weekend, this is a very good Missile Command-style game. The only downside is you can't choose which base you fire from, though the order is consistent so you just have to plan your game around that.

W.R.A.X. (http://www.digitpress.com/forum/activity.php?mode=game&id=85&parent=true)- this is one of the "for fun" games. A cross between Welltris and Columns.

Squares (http://www.digitpress.com/forum/activity.php?mode=game&id=70&parent=true) - An action game where you grab black squares and avoid red ones. Even has some power-ups. Great game!

Donkey Kong (http://www.digitpress.com/forum/activity.php?mode=game&id=91&parent=true) - a disappointing version of the game that has the look down pretty well but all it retains in terms of gameplay is the barrel-jumping. From what I can tell it's just the same level over and over.

Have fun with this stuff! I've got plenty more on the way.

Did I miss a memo on the cost to play arcade games going up to 5 meseta? And I didnt earn a bonus for playing like normally as well :/

Did I miss a memo on the cost to play arcade games going up to 5 meseta?

I explained that in my first post. What I neglected to mention was that you now get 10 meseta for every game you rate instead of 5, so get on that.

And I didnt earn a bonus for playing like normally as well :/

What game? Not every game has the bonus "per x points".

Well I must be wrong , because I just played Hexxagon and got the normal bonus for my score. Just disregard my rantings x_x ;)

New games added today:

FrogMania (http://www.digitpress.com/forum/activity.php?mode=game&id=75&parent=true): Wherein various randy frogs slip each other the tongue in a wet orgy of indulgence.

Lander (http://www.digitpress.com/forum/activity.php?mode=game&id=74&parent=true): So... just how good at Lunar Lander ARE you? This one will challenge you in a number of new ways.

Pac-Jungle (http://www.digitpress.com/forum/activity.php?mode=game&id=72&parent=true): Yep, it's Pac-Man in a jungle environment. Not bad, nice change of scenery.

Yay! New games. Keep 'em comin', Joe.

I am a little disappointed in the price hike though, as I'll no doubt bankrupt myself, but such is life.

It's almost impossible to bankrupt yourself since you earn additional meseta for most of the games that charge you. Check it out - 5 go out and on even an average game, 10 go in. Most games are gauged so you can get 20 if you can get near the top score.

Ohhh, I didn't notice that feature. It's been a while since I've checked out the arcade. That's very cool. I think I'll do well then.

Looks like some interesting new additions. I shall have to look into them all. I'm still trying to learn Top Banana. God I suck at it.

It didn't freeze...it just put a barrel down at the bottom of the screen where my character was...and was there each time it went to the next man. I don't think its my computer...whose computer would do something like that? And it hasn't happened that often, only a couple of times. I guess several of these games do have bugs and it doesn't bother me that much unless I'm doing really well. I'll doubtless play again but I'll be curious to see if this bug happens to anyone else.
I've had something similar happen in that game. When I die, if there's a barrel at the bottom of the screen it doesn't always disappear like it's supposed to. However, whenever this happened I was always able to jump over it.

Two more additions tonight. Both of these games are "free play", no scores submitted.

Bubble Bobble 2 (http://www.digitpress.com/forum/activity.php?mode=game&id=93&parent=true): The Taito Classic! This game never gets old.

Xevious (http://www.digitpress.com/forum/activity.php?mode=game&id=95&parent=true): Plays like arcade Xevious... on ACID. Very fast-paced web version of the revolutionary vertical shooter. Can you keep up?

Just added:

Fly Sui (http://www.digitpress.com/forum/activity.php?mode=game&id=88&parent=true): There's nothing in our arcade quite like this one. Snag the flies with your chopstick, just like Mr. Miyagi!

I think that there are some links that link to games that no longer exist or are testing or something. I went and saw that Mars Lander (or something like that) was the least popular game with only 6 plays. I figured that I might as well try it, since if only 6 other people played I actually probably have a shot at getting the trophy.

I clicked it a few times, and it just reloaded the Arcade screen a few times. I did this with a few other games too. Worst part -- when it happens, I realized that it grabs 5 meseta like you're going to play! I probably lost about 50 total in the last week or so, but I figure it's just like the jammed coin slots at Chuck E Cheese... I was usually too lazy to find a game tech anyway, so I don't need it back ;)

I just got another high score, but when I hit Submit, it said "Sorry, you can't link directly to the game" or something like that. Even though I got there from the Arcade. I have been denied a trophy. *cries*

Actually, I can do it again, but that was like 30 minutes down the drain.

Non-trophy-based games (sorry) added today:

Home Run Derby (http://www.digitpress.com/forum/activity.php?mode=game&id=104&parent=true): Try to knock 'em out of the park, cat. A Japanese game with three difficulty levels.

Mahjong Connect (http://www.digitpress.com/forum/activity.php?mode=game&id=106&parent=true): A different kind of Mahjong, a nice change of pace for you experts especially. Tiles can "connect" by having a clear path with no more than two 90-degree turns between them.

Hmmm, I love baseball so I'll definitely check out Home Run Derby. I haven't counted...just how many games are we up to now? Well, never mind...I can count them the next time I'm over there...like in about 2 minutes. :D

12 minutes later...okay, I counted and we're now up to 67 games...that's one crowded arcade! I like the baseball game but, except for the first game, my batter faces away from the plate! Is this game from EA Sports? :D

Two good ones added today, they're both unlike anything we currently have in the arcade:

Eggs (http://www.digitpress.com/forum/activity.php?mode=game&id=98&parent=true): Plays a lot like the Activision classic, Kaboom! Thankfully there is a way to turn the music off - the controls are in the upper right of the playfield.

Snowboard Slalom (http://www.digitpress.com/forum/activity.php?mode=game&id=66&parent=true): Slalom through the gates. Try not to crash INTO the gates.

I've got another 25 or so just waiting to go. They just need to be tailored a bit to our format. Expect to see at least ten of 'em turn up between today and tomorrow.

Have fun!

OK, I just added another five "non-scoring" games that unfortunately don't work with our arcade module. Don't worry, there are plenty more to be added that allow you to compete against your rivals here. Enjoy these, just for fun.

Activision Kaboom! (http://www.digitpress.com/forum/activity.php?mode=game&id=149&parent=true): A faithful port of the Atari 2600 version of this classic paddle game.

Pepsi Flipper Pinball (http://www.digitpress.com/forum/activity.php?mode=game&id=145&parent=true): A decent video pinball game with an old west setting. And a giant Pepsi logo smack dab in the middle.

Pharaoh's Tomb (http://www.digitpress.com/forum/activity.php?mode=game&id=150&parent=true): Nice graphics on this 45-degree top-down adventure. Pretty deep game, too. Be prepared to spend some time.

Yahtzee (http://www.digitpress.com/forum/activity.php?mode=game&id=146&parent=true): The old dice game, as addictive as ever.

501 Darts (http://www.digitpress.com/forum/activity.php?mode=game&id=147&parent=true): Get to 501 in the fewest throws possible. Ah, just like the pub game, just add lager.

I just played Pepsi FLipper Pinball which I liked...and when you clear the obstacles, you can go into the building and play a Pepsi version of Breakout! Cool, though the ball moves a bit slow in that round of the game... :D Since this game combines two of my favorite things (westerns and Pepsi) I think I'll play it often.

Okay, now I've played 3 of the others...

Yahtzee is pretty close to the original...except you don't seem to be able to get more than one Yahtzee (5 of a kind) in one game. In the real game, the pads have a spot for a second if you're lucky enough to get that.

The dart game took a little time for me to figure it out...but it's fun. I suck at it but it's fun. :)

Kaboom! is great...do I get a patch if I get a high score? :D

speaking of Kaboom the eggs version of it is pretty fun, i just won the trophy at it with 288 eggs, the previous score was 221 but know someone has 244 so i doubt i will have the high score for too long but 3 total trophies is not to shabby! ;)

I'm playing as many different games today as I can in my effort to play them all this week. I'm having trouble with Monkey Cliff Diving, though. The game stays on the loading screen and never advances to the gameplay part. BUmmer. I'll try again later. The other games I've actually played include Copter (woohoo, 40 points!), Hexxagon (very addictive), Avoider, Collapse and Top Banana...I'll be sure to play some more of the Pepsi pinball game, too.

Two more games just added to the Roundtable Arcade:

Clock Legends (http://www.digitpress.com/forum/activity.php?mode=game&id=154&parent=true): A high quality platform game that unfortunately suffers from an unskippable intro sequence. If you get good at it, it won't matter but until then...

Roulette (http://www.digitpress.com/forum/activity.php?mode=game&id=121&parent=true): Spin the wheel! And despite what they tell ya, don't always bet on black. What you really need to know is when to quit!

More on the way.

Right. Immediately after the arcade crashed (when we were having all kinds of forum troubles). I had to zero everything out because I couldn't tell what the proper "meseta to score" ratio was until there were enough good scores to make that happen. Once there were (about two weeks later), everything was put back.

I've got a super-addictive one for ya, for you late nite Saturday gamers, here's an easy trophy to steal from me.

Have fun!

I should've gone for that easy steal.

Instead, I went after the Castle Defense 4 trophy.

I played Drag 'n Drop mode with my laptop touchpad. At around 14,000 points, my wrist seriously started to go numb.

Soon after that, I had to take 5-10 minute breaks in between levels just to get the tingly feeling out of my hand.

But after 65 levels, the trophy is mine. MINE ALL MINE.

That so wasn't worth it. What a way to spend Friday night.

It's only happened twice. With Kaboom and with Shuriken Challenge. Both games appeared on the "random game of the day" slot but had not actually been activated (as stated in the FAQ, there are games that are in the system that you can't play until I'm done tweaking them). For both, I activated them on the day that they were on the "random game" slot.

So it's not a problem, but it has been solved.

Hey, check it out! I found a version of Sonic that keeps score so I trashed the old one. It's actually the same game we had here before but now you can grab a trophy for being the best Sonic player on the Roundtable.

Sonic Ultimate (http://www.digitpress.com/forum/activity.php?mode=game&id=164&parent=true): A faithful port of the popular Sega classic series. Now with scoring!

And also found a scoring version of Yahtzee to replace the old "free play" one.

Yahtzee (http://www.digitpress.com/forum/activity.php?mode=game&id=165&parent=true): The classic dice-and-pencil game, now in flash format. Now with scoring!

Likewise, found a scoring version of Mahjong Connect:

Mahjong Connect (http://www.digitpress.com/forum/activity.php?mode=game&id=167&parent=true): A fine variation of the popular Shanghai-style Mahjong. A piece can connect to another if it they're both free and can reach each other with 2 or less 90-degree turns. Try it!

Also, a scoring version of FrogMania, which I know is a favorite for you thinker-types.

FrogMania (http://www.digitpress.com/forum/activity.php?mode=game&id=168&parent=true): Wherein various randy frogs slip each other the tongue in order to achieve an orgy for their perverted frog-like senses. Now with scoring!

And finally (for now) a scoring version of the Japanese Home Run Derby game. Cool stuff!

Home Run Derby (http://www.digitpress.com/forum/activity.php?mode=game&id=169&parent=true): A Japan league home run derby where your cat attempts to blast 'em out of the park against a Lego-like mechanical pitcher. No, really.

LOL

Yeah, I usually wait til after the jackpot breaks 5k now, as I'm always afraid if I wait longer DP will reset it. The score can be beaten though, as my last top score was a couple hundred above the current one. Btw, my score took 118 seconds, so that's the time to beat if you watch the clock.

Oh and DP, I'm loving the game Freezed Style, it helped fill the void that Board left. I was wondering, are you going to wait and see if Boards' creators website comes back up so it's playable, or will you be taking it down eventually? Just curious.

Pac-Man (http://www.digitpress.com/forum/activity.php?mode=game&id=81&parent=true): We think you'll find this a better version of Pac-man than the "Gel" version we've had online for awhile. Better cornering and controls all around. Enjoy this beloved classic!

Dirt Crusher (http://www.digitpress.com/forum/activity.php?mode=game&id=158&parent=true): A multi-stage dirt-rally fiesta for the eyes and ears. And fingers.

Global Player (http://www.digitpress.com/forum/activity.php?mode=game&id=196&parent=true): Simple! Just guide the packages from the hangar to the appropriately colored dock. Takes some quick thinking.

Bombjack (http://www.digitpress.com/forum/activity.php?mode=game&id=84&parent=true): The "hop everywhere" arcade game plays pretty well in Flash.

Bubbles (http://www.digitpress.com/forum/activity.php?mode=game&id=79&parent=true): Not based on the Williams' arcade game, in this one you simply capture smaller bubbles of your color and grow before you're hit.

I liked that Pac-Man game and even had the trophy for about 3 hours...now the score's probably beyond my reach.

Today, I suddenly found myself with a trophy I never earned. I don't mind getting a trophy gift but no extra meseta came with it :D The trophy is for something called Pub Quiz which appears to be one of those games you're testing as I haven't been able to access it. My score for that is listed at 1. Beat that! LOL

Beat that! LOL

Yeah, I had something similar happen to me a couple of weeks ago. It was with Frog Mania, which, as far as I can remember, was already up to play. Well, I showed up here at the forums and noticed that I had a pm. The only time I ever get a pm is when I lose a trophy. Well, the only one I was holding at the time was Board. So, I was thinking "ah, someone finally decided to get past my score" as it was a pretty high score. I checked the pm and it said that I had lost my Frog Mania trophy O_O The funny thing is that I never even got a chance to play the game yet. :D

So, anyway, very similar to your story.

I love these new games. I've only played three of them so far, but Mini-Pool and Duck Hunt are already up there as some of the best games in the arcade, in my opinion.

Six trophies now. Maybe seven if I can get back my Dirt Rally thingy one.

I even beat the Duck Hunt high score by 40k on my first playthrough, although I'm sure it won't last. I should've gotten more than that, because even though I got to round 12, I neglected to get a perfect on the very first round.

Although, my Clash and Slash trophy I got on my second playthrough, and that's been untouched for a good while.

The funny thing is not long after I got the "trophy", I got an e-mail that I had a PM...well, I didn't get a PM and haven't got one in the hours since then. Weird. I like the Doom game...I take it there's no way to replenish your ammo supply, right? You run out of ammo and then die while you're trying to punch out monsters. :D

When you get a PM notification and then DON'T get a PM, that's probably just me too. See, when a new game gets installed, it automatically puts whoever last posted a score in the arcade as a trophy holder with a score of "1". That's quickly beaten of course, and I usually go into my outbox to delete the dethroned message to avoid further confusion. Naturally it still creates SOME confusion, but isn't that what the Roundtable is built on?

I always wondered why some guys have a 1 for a score in some games...I've seen Teo with that. How the heck do you get a 1, I'd think. Well, now I know. Now that I k now a bit more about what's going on, I won't worry about it.

I just added a handful of new games, go find 'em! They include a Bomberman clone, a Choplifter! variant, a scoring version of 501 Darts (with a twist), an Ice Hockey shooting game, and more.

Have fun!

I wonder why you still have that Pac-Man where the control (cornering) sucks? I could understand it before since everyone loves Pac-Man but you've found a much better version so why keep the other?

I wonder if you'll ever be able to do something where you can see what games each person has been playing. Could that perhaps be on their profile? If a person plays a lot of different games, it may not work, though...even if you could set it up, it might take up too much space. Perhaps showing just the 5 games they've been playing the most? For me, Yahtzee might be #1...not that I love the game, but I want that jackpot! :D

I've noticed a bug or two in Galaga. In one, the ship that hijacks one of my own came down and froze in position...it may have slowly gone back and forth, I forget. I tried shooting at it but my shots seemed to go underneath or behind it. The other one was similar except my two locked ships seem to freeze in position...there were a few ships up above...they didn't come down after me...and though I could fire my shots, they never came directly above me where I could get them. I had to quit the game in both instances. I guess no game is perfect.

Some more new ones added this morning!

Escape from Castle Doom (http://www.digitpress.com/forum/activity.php?mode=game&id=244&parent=true): Lemmings-style game where you have to get the whole family out of each room without bumping into nasty ghosts.

Spy Hunter (http://www.digitpress.com/forum/activity.php?mode=game&id=242&parent=true): Though it looks like the Williams arcade classic, it has a different play mechanic entirely. Try it out!

Anime Golf (http://www.digitpress.com/forum/activity.php?mode=game&id=276&parent=true): Frustrating mini-golf! The obstacles are unforgiving and it's not as interesting as you'd expect.

A few new ones to kick off your weekend.

Minecar Mayhem (http://www.digitpress.com/forum/activity.php?mode=game&id=287&parent=true): Keep the minecar on the tracks by picking the right directions, balancing on the rails and jumping over obstacles.

Pressure Shot (http://www.digitpress.com/forum/activity.php?mode=game&id=291&parent=true): TV-style golf game where you have to get yourself out of some tricky jams for your country.

Boston Snowstorm! (http://www.digitpress.com/forum/activity.php?mode=game&id=293&parent=true): Clear the streets of Boston and grab candy and gifts along your route.

Squares 2 (http://www.digitpress.com/forum/activity.php?mode=game&id=292&parent=true): Awesome game where you need to capture the black and avoid the red.

Jump Nutty (http://www.digitpress.com/forum/activity.php?mode=game&id=187&parent=true): Interesting little diversion where you jump from bird to bird to get to the highest measurement possible. By the way, you massacre each bird you bounce from on the way up.

Since I won't be able to do arcade updates for the next week or so, I thought I'd set you up with some high quality new titles that you can now play in the Roundtable Arcade:

Uniroyal Fun Cup (http://www.digitpress.com/forum/activity.php?mode=game&id=246&parent=true): One of the nicest looking games you'll find on the 'net, simply get your car around the track the fastest.

Raiden X (http://www.digitpress.com/forum/activity.php?mode=game&id=236&parent=true): Great vertical shooter, a homage to the arcade SHMUP.

Ms. Pac-Man (http://www.digitpress.com/forum/activity.php?mode=game&id=123&parent=true): Well, as I always say: if you like Pac-Man, you'll love Ms. Pac-Man. The flash version is no exception.

Kung Fu Fighter (http://www.digitpress.com/forum/activity.php?mode=game&id=286&parent=true): Fight Yie-Ar style against a particularly dimwitted bunch of Asian foes.

Alpine Skiing (http://www.digitpress.com/forum/activity.php?mode=game&id=305&parent=true): A 2D, side-scrolling skiing challenge.

I'm seriously enjoying Raiden X now. Very nice graphics and music. Favorite weapon is the purple beam that jumps to different enemies while hitting your initial target.

Wish Ms. Pac-Man was faster though.

Hmmm maybe I missed the solution somewhere here.. but I'm getting the message:

"You do NOT have enough to play this game. " on every game.

Any ideas? :(

Yes, my problem hasn't been corrected either. The arcade page doesn't recognize that you have any meseta. It says "You have 0 meseta onhand" or something very close to that. I do have about a hundred meseta so there's still something not right.
