Coming to the Japanese PC at the end of the month. Too bad my PC can't handle it, or I'd buy it instantly. It's a 3D retelling of Ys III! The music rivals the PC Engine/Turbo Grafx version, unlike the recent PS2 remake version! Watch a video and hear the music:

I just finished Ys III last night (1st time in >10 years)... Gen version though, - I played the TGCD version last time.

This looks great - and a PS2 release would definitely get my dollars...

And english PC version would get my dollars in a heartbeat. That looks amazing and would probably prompt me to buy a controller for my PC.

I pre-ordered this game. It was on my online banking statement and everything. Now it's off said statement and the money's back in my account. Weird.

I saw this about a month ago and almost pooped my pants. I hadn't bought Y's VI yet, and I thought this looked even cooler than Y's III. If you dink around on Falcom's website, though (sorry, no time to get a link. Google it.) you can hear some of the reworked music. It sucks. It's got the lame four-on-the-floor techno drum-machine in the background of almost everything. The metal edge is gone, and the deep dreamy synths are replaced by an orchestra which, shockingly enough, sounds soulless by comparison to the TG-CD version. I found it to be a slap in the face considering how wonderfully written and arranged the music is for Y's VI (the songwriting is very similar to the classic TG-16/PCE games.)

You know, I never really thought about the Japanese PC gaming scene... but I'll take a guess that they get awesome exclusives that we dont just like with the other systems... is there a list of recent Japanese PC gaming titles, just so I can look through it and see if I recognise anything?
