Genesis game re-releases

Is there any difference ot the packaging (besides cardboard compared to plastic) in some the re-released Genesis titles so myself, and probably othe rcollectors, know what to look for compared to the orginials?

I know that they re realesd jungle strike and it was in a cardboard box not the old,bulky one.

The manuals are 100% black & white, and no longer printed on glossy stock.

Also, the carts seem to have a rough/matte finish to them (the plastic), as opposed to the usual slick plastic.

I've seen Jungle Strike (I think Desert Strike also), THX Interceptor and a few others..I can't remember all the re-released titles I saw during my TRU stint.

The re-releases are just cheap, cheap cheap. Stay away from them if you can- The Mega Hits Series Sonic 3 cartridge for example, is made of a lower-grade plastic than the older Genesis cartridges. As well, the label art is blurry and the glue doesn't hold well. The labels peel very easily over time, often on their own.
