My friend is currently putting together a really neat DVD of every SNES Rom, manual, FAQ, artwork shots, music files (spc and mp3s) etc...
He wants to get a little more stuff for his favorite games, like interviews, magazine articles, etc. He also was asking me which games have the very best music. He has maybe 40 games in that category, but all from his memory. I told him I would ask him for suggestions here.

1) Distributing roms is illegal if you charge for it
2) a complete rom set for snes doesn't fit onto one dvd
3) i don't really see a need for this if you can't distribute it?!

He is making it for himself. I really wasn't advertising, but giving the back story. He has all of the games, he just wants them documented in a way he can easily access/enjoy. Don't get hung up on it.
Basically: what are your favorite (especially obscure) Super Nintendo soundtracks?
He isn't making this for sale, but for himself. Jeez.

Yeah Kirby Superstar has some great music. Especially in the "Revenge of Meta Knight" segment.

These are the more obscure soundtracks I like, plus some isolated songs in other soundtracks. I bet you can tell what types of games I play. Of course, most of the Squaresoft and Nintendo tunes are pretty good too. I particularly like Final Fantasy II.

Yeah, he has some of these, but thanks a lot for the more obscure ones. He is going to find remixes, etc.. for those now. Keep em coming!
It's really a great idea. He's collecting EVERYTHING available for a given game, advertisements, commercials, manuals, faqs, screenshots, concept art, etc...
Kind of like an "extras" on a DVD, for each SNES game on his list. Including Music, remixes, the rom (of course). He is getting bare bones (manual, cart scan, etc) for all games, and much more for those people suggest. Kind of neat, either way.

I agree with SkiDragon, that would be pretty neat.
Don't take the jumping down your throat on the rom thing personally, someone always has to pull their cop belt up over their gut when that word is mentioned. You can check the FAQ on emulation, you were actually well within the rule bounds.
"2. We love emulation but we also love the industry. Emulation discussion will be limited to the games for "retired machines" only."
I think Rock N Roll Racing has a fun soundtrack, but it's not unique.
