I seem to recall seeing another brand of joystick that was like the X-arcade stick. You could use it on a bunch of systems and it was true arcade quality. There used to be a bunch of new ones on Ebay all the time. It may be the X-arcade I'm thinking of but I don't remember it being all black and having a big X on the face of it like the X-arcade does. IIRC it was also cheaper than the X-arcade and that's why I was interested in it. IIRC it was 1 player, not duel sticks. I know that X-arcade makes a solo version now. Anyone know what I'm thinking of? :Fade-color

Maybe MAS Pro Sticks? They are around the same price as the solo X-Arcade. I'm thinking about picking one up down the road to use with my saturn and neo.

I'm afraid if you want an arcade joystick, you'll have to pony up the cash. I understand Hori sticks are among the best in the world; Namco and Sega also makes excellent controllers for their fighting games (VF4, Tekken). You'll end up paying at least $70 apiece.

Most, if not all, of the joysticks sold in the States are terrible. don't let some cheap $20 price tag fool you, unless the store you buy from has a sound return policy.

Your other option is to put together your own joysticks. If you, say, like to work on cars, this is pretty fun. It'll probably cost about the same, though. Ouch. Not a lot of good options here.

Hmm.. you have to buy a seperate MAS joystick for each system? :P Where is a cheap place to get an X-arcade?

No, I think you can get one that will support all system, but it's extra for each system. I think if you get one that supports 4 systems, there are 4 different cords coming out of the controller.

I don't think there is anywhere cheap to get an X-Arcade, but I would say it's worth the money.
