How much you wanna bet he didn't give the courtesy to the high bidder to let them know. The last bid was placed after he put the retraction in. Should we step in and email the bidder?
That's funny....judging by the UPS site, $1000 worth of insurance is only, *gasp* $3.15! Could this be....knowledgable overcharge to make up for eBay's fees? NO WAY!

Why doesn't someone contact the high bidder(s) and tell them to cancel their bids ?

Done and done. If you look at this guys feedback, it doesn't look like it's the first time he's done it.

Ooo, looks like regina won, because the seller realized that the high bid was way too high, and that if he retracted them, he'd lose a lot of money pricewise.
This guy was reported, right? I think I'm just going to start mailing this incessantly from one of my throwaway mail accts. What's his email, 7800?

Strange. I'm a Netzero user and my address is netzero.net, not .com. I can only surmise that netzero.com is the extension for folks using the "20 free hours a month" service rather than the unlimited service like I am.
This might just be his Spam filter address folks ala Yahoo and not his primary mode of mail. Just a FYI.
