Holy crap this is going to be an insane auction.

It has Q*Boy which I've wanted for a long time since I can't even find a ROM of it (and it sounded interesting, but being a Sachen game it is probably crap, haha). Also has Jovial Race which is a garbage version of the Namco Classic Rally-X.

I wonder if this is every Sachen game?

Don't diss Jovial Race! ;)
Sachen makes a lot of weird stuff, some of their games are actually pretty good, like Super Pang and....uh...Super Pang 2, but a lot of them are just :puke: I'd like to try out Q-Boy myself, isn't it a kirby Clone?
I dare someone to play every Sachen game ever and try to sleep that night.

Yeah, Q*Boy is supposed to be a Kirby style game that has a code to change all the graphics to Mario stuff (haha). I doubt it's any good though.

I saw a mini-review on a website when I googled it, it got a 60%, not too shabby for a Sachen game.

I saw this auction earlier today.
I guess neswoman (with the addition of her other auction), is getting rid of all of her stuff.

at least 10 or so of these games are for adults only, not for anyone under 17 or so

lol, hardcore NES porn ;)

Q*Boy is an awesome game. It's one of best NES game I've played. Check my website for screenshots : http://www.er.uqam.ca/merlin/fd491499/nintendo/nes/sachen/qboy/

That's one of their last games, maybe they learned from their mistakes. LOL

Maybe I'll buy the game by itself. Is the top right pic some sort of mini-game?

Sachen games from 1992-1994 seem a lot better than earlier games (like Little Red Hood or Sidewinder).

Yes, the top right pic is a mini game in which you can win up to 5 extra lives. It's basically a whack-a-mole style game. It appears after levels 1-3, 2-3, 4-3 and 5-3.

greetings,

buyer beware, I sold the seller a collection of 60 pin carts and I believe these are those, the top of every box for a 60 pin game has a red sticker that says 'new'. Any serious bidders should request more pictures.

if anyone wants a 60 pin sachen collection email me at nes@priest.com I also have ~50 other sachen carts (72 pin) I am selling

Do the 60pin got the same boxes as the 72pin ? Its stated in the auction that these are tested on a toploader NES. Nothing about a 60 - 72pin convertor used.

The boxes are the same for 60 or 72 pin version, to differentiate between them the 60 pin carts have a sticker on the top flap that says 'new' They are for the most part normal sized famicom cartridges and they do require an adaptor for play on a 72 pin system.

Ok, I asked the seller. It is the 60pin games (famicom), not 72pin. How much is a complete 60pin set worth?

Would this be a good site to buy a 60 Pin Q Boy, or is it worth less? That's in Euro right? $13 dollars for Q*Boy sounds fair enough.

BTW, Why did Sachen give their Famiclone and game the same name?

I'd say US$13 for a Sachen famicom game with manual is a very good price but I have never bought from this site.

I think they changed the name of the game to Q Boy (maybe at the last minute). I have a Sachen poster from 1992 and the game is listed as "Puff Kid".

That's British pounds. ;) Would cost you an estimated 19.85$US.

Yeah, 2 people already withdrew their bids. Wouldn't surprise me if more will follow. I still think that this package is at least worth 300 dollars...I just don't understand why the seller wrote as though they are NES games and not Famicom. The NES bidders are gonna continue backing out, and the Famicom collectors are kept in the dark. Not the smartest seller ;)

Hard to say. It wrong info in the auction tho. It says they are tested on a Toploader, but not mentioned that a 60 to 72 pin converter is used.

I kind of doubt the bidders knew what the were bidding on even with the clarification in the update. When I sold a set on ebay (to neswomen) advertised as famicom carts with an adaptor the complete set only brought ~$350. Although that was a long time ago and sachen carts have been fetching more on ebay recently.

Maybe this auction was just a fluke, but I also have my doubts wether the seller was trying to deceive the bidders. I just find it very hard to believe you can assemble an (almost) complete NES collection and not know the difference between an NES and Famicom.

I agree. Why would s/he state that "They do work in my top loader but i can not say they will work in yours." That gives it away right there. Either she is hiding the fact that she is using a Famicom-to-NES converter, or she is using the word top loader to mislead people into thinking about a Nintendo top-loader instead of the recent Famiclone top loader.

Either way I think it is sad for a collector to be so vague (especially when on purpose), when s/he should know that collectors not only want to but also need to know most of these "little" details.

"They do work in my top loader but i can not say they will work in yours."

I would guess they are trying to avoid using the adapter word which gets your auction pulled sometimes
