Super Wonderful Mario game help???

I'm wondering what game exactly is "Super Wonderful Mario"? Is it the same game as Super Mario 2 USA version, or is it Super Mario 2 Japan. For some reason I thought it was SMB 2 Japan, but it does have the Princess on the front cover, and the 3 headed snake from SMB 2 USA, so that is a little confusing.

Please help clear this up for me

Not even the Nintendo DS is cheesy enough to make Nintendo start using the word "WONDERFUL" in its game titles, especially Mario game titles.
