My boyfriend's birthday's coming up and I'm looking for a few suggestions of what games I could buy for him. The last couple of games we bought that he loved were Ribbit King, Alien Hominid and Space Raiders. So I'm kinda looking for those low budget, niche suggestions.

He owns a Gamecube, and XboX. So no PS2 suggestions please. I know he'd probably love Katamari Damacy but he won't touch the system.

I'll also probably be getting him Ikaruga, so if someone could tell me what I should expect to pay for that would also be cool.

What about Cubivore for the GCN....that's an odd, yet very very enjoyable title.

Ikaruga is typically 20-25 in game stores

You can't find it in game stores though. :/

How 'bout Phantom dust. It's only 20 dollars brand new.

ODDBALL?

How about Oddworld: Stranger?

Should still be in stores. Isn't Halo 2?

Psychonauts if different he might like it.

If he is a Star Wars fan try Lego Star Wars.

Does he have Animal Crossing? That's a good one and now that it's a player's choice, only $20. :)

I have Animal Crossing, and we played it together. He loved the fishing most.

He also owns ZooCube. (:

Psychonauts is an absolute must. It's weird and hilarious, not to mention a damn good platformer. It's probably my favorite game so far this year.

Other suggestions:

GCN
Cubivore
Gotcha Force
Viewtiful Joe 1 & 2

Xbox
Armed & Dangerous
Oddworld: Stranger's wrath
Raze's Hell

Hope that helps! :)

He owns all the Wario Ware titles except the new twisted. How is that anyway?

Best played on an SP if truth be told (easier than on a DS!).

List of what I own for the Cube... maybe something in there might catch your eye :)

(as I can't think offhand of anything not mentioned so far)

Secret weapons over Normandy.

Doesnt sound real oddball but with the Lucas Arts touch on a WWII Air Combat game it can get weird.

I was totally expecting the scene from Star Wars where Darth Vader comes down in his pimped out Tie fighter only it would be Hitler taking matters into his own hands and flying a jet powered Swastika that shoots lasers.

Amazing Island for GC

Monster Rancher+Magic Pengel+Mario Party=Amazing Island

Pretty nify, and cheap (if you can find it)
And it's published by Sega :)

That sounds more like something I'd like. I'll look into that. Thanks.

It's a pretty original concept, I enjoy Twisted. If he likes the other WarioWare's, I think he would really like this one.

As far as the GC is concerned, if he is into classics, the two voumes of the Midway games that are out are pretty neat. They each have like 20 games on them. Also, Cel Damage is kind of neat.
