I hate to be a party pooper, but why the heck does anyone care? It's a PC in a cardboard box. Sure, it's a Dreamcast box, but it's still just a box. Definitely unimpressive.

So all this is, is some guy putting a PC in a dreamcast box? Wow, how.... uninteresting! I figured I was going to be looking at some sort of dev-kit that someone had homebrewed or something.

So if I put some PC internals into a big refrigerator box will I have a Cray Supercomputer capable of trillions of calculations per milisecond?
I hope so!

I saw this a little earlier and thought about posting essentially the same thing. It's pretty umimpressive on nearly every level.

Is there something in the water this week or something? Why is so much useless drivel being posted all of a sudden? (Yes, I know that all of my posts are useless drivel :) )

that box sucks. he didn't even solidify the box with clear plastic or anything to turn it into a real case, its still a flimsy box.

Well gang, the day has come that we've finally run out of things to say to each other. This moment was even written in the Book of Revelations: "Yay and verily unto the Roundtable will come a post of utter mediocrity posed as a great realization. And the flock shall look upon it, and it shall be bad".
I may as well close the place down tomorrow because, well, it's the Apocalypse.

:hmm:
I thought somebody gutted a Dreamcast and built a PC in the casing, but, as this is simply a box, I'm both disappointed and relieved. Disappointed that it's a bad joke and not a cool mod, and relieved that no one was dumb enough to gut their DC.

Anyone else wanna go to thier local office supply store and steal a paper box and make a PC out of it? x_x
I saw this earlier (before it was 56k friendly) and also thought it was really lacking in class. Maybe next time he can afford a real case.

This is definitely not a PC forum, holy crap.
The person that did this did it just to say they can. This is 100% identical to what Ben does with his portable game systems and you all think that's the coolest stuff.
Ben also made a PC housed inside a case of Miller High Life.

I like PC's....but putting a PC into a cardboard box isnt as cool or exciting as stuffing a computer into a lunchbox, NES, or some other small space.
Yeah its a "i did it because i could" but when its something that anyone with minor technical skills could pull off it just isnt all that unique and cool.

My question is what's up with all the sexy ladies people are putting in their avatars and sigs. Not that I'm complaining. I take that back, that Princess Peach one was just disturbing.

I didn't find it interesting or amazing either, there are way cooler case mods out there (I particularly like the one thats housed inside an operable RC Car), but there's no reason to berate the guy for sharing some pictures. Not on this board at least...

heh, i would'nt say that, my PC gets up past 90, and that's with 3 case fans!
anyways, that is about the dumbest PC mod i've ever seen. i thought it was someone sticking a computer in a DC console casing or something, but that is just- lame. :/
