INCENTIVE TIME!

This will be posted at the CGE site later tonight.

EVERY guest who registers at the San Francisco Hyatt Regency (http://sanfranciscoairport.hyatt.com/property/index.jhtml) will receive a Dragon Boy 3000 game system AND your name will be added to a drawing where three lucky attendees will win a brand new Sony PSP game system! The Dragon Boy 3000 is a boxed handheld system, similar to many of the 1000-in-1 black and white systems that you've probably seen on your flea market romps. The Sony PSP... well you know all about that, don't you.

All you have to do is call 1-800-233-1234 and mention the code G-CGEX to receive the special rate of $99/night (a significant discount - wait until you see this place) which also qualifies you for these prizes. If you've already registered, there's already a Dragon Boy 3000 and lottery ticket with your name on it. LIMIT: one entry per room.

More fun from your friends at CGE :)

PS there are photos taken from inside the Hyatt while I scouted the bay area early last year, right HERE:

Very cool. I booked my trip through expedia but I am staying at the Hyatt Regency...am I still eligible for the above gifts (or did I have to register with the code)?

You have to register with the code.

Call the Hyatt up and ask them to switch your reservation to the CGE block. Let me know if you get any hassles - you shouldn't!

Is it one entry per room? Cuz there are three people staying in my room.

It's only whoever booked the room I believe.

Joe's post says "every guest," though.

Hmmm...I'll pass. I don't want to screw with my reservation (easy or not) and take the chance of something getting messed up.

Plus, I already have a PSP...I'll let someone else win it.

@POG - I'm guessing then if the person(s) are registered as being guests in the room... then they'll be in.

Which makes a point, I'll have to check to make sure the other people who are probably going to be in my room are on the list then...

It's one entry per room for the PSP drawing, but we can probably give 2 of the Dragon Boy handhelds out if your room has multiple registered guests. This incentive is specifically to get rooms at the hotel booked, as CGE gets a price break "per room" (not per guest). So it's REALLY important to us that we fill rooms that weekend.

Heh, it's not really THAT big of a deal, I was just hoping I could get three chances to win ;)

This is pretty sweet. Especially since chances are I will be registering 2 rooms :D

I love freebees!

I called Hyatt today and attempted to do this, and they assured me in no uncertain terms that it is absolutely not possible to switch the reservation over. x_x

I'm still coming, but just thought you'd like a heads up!

By that then I take it you are paying more than $99 per night for the room?

That sucks, and I'll talk to them about it.

Why not just CANCEL your reservation and start a new reservation with the discount code and freebies? The hotel cannot be booked as they're promising us a number of rooms that we have not reached yet.

I'll give that a shot first thing in the morning.

Either way, I'm still showing up. You guys are stuck with me. LOL

Sorry about the mix-up Joe, and I am heading on out (or "over" as it were). Gonna be the best CGE yet, I'm sure!

Let me clarify this a little...

Every CGE attendee that stays at the Hyatt will receive a Dragon Boy system. So if you've booked a room with 4 people (a steal at $99) each person will get a Dragon Boy system.

For the PSP raffle, it will be one entry per room. If there are 4 people in your room, you'll either have to buy the others out or get an axe and start to chopping. :)

If you have booked a room at the Hyatt and did not use our special code, you can still receive a Dragon Boy system for each person and be eligible to win a PSP. All you have to do is come to the Dragon Boy redemption booth, show us a room key and give us the name that the room is registered under. We'll check with the Hyatt and enter you into the drawing.

What could be easier? That being said, I've gotten word that the Hyatt is starting to fill up so I wouldn't delay any longer. Book those rooms now!

See you there!

John

I'm not showing you my room key, it might mysteriously "disappear," only to reappear in the door later, at like 3am!

John Hardie, I love you man LOL

Awesome news...a second PSP could come in handy :)

The Dragon Boy itself is worth the price of admission. It has games like "HIT DIM-WIT," "DRONGER GRAB JEWELRY," and my personal favorite, "THE TIME+ROTARY AND TRANSMUTATIVE RUSSIAN BRICK."

I got a free Dragon Boy when I went to California Extreme. :D The only problem is that I can't figure out how to use it. I can't understand the minimal instructions included. Is there a site with instructions in understandable English? :/

Does anyone know who won the PSPs?

They haven't been drawn yet - we were still collecting hotel-goer names on Sunday. I'll post details here and on the CGE website when we've drawn. Hopefully I can do this on webcam like past DP contest drawings as well.

Thanks for clearing this up, I was waiting to hear about that as well. Please keep us informed, I'm hoping it'll be the second time I win something (the first was a $5 Starbucks card from the GameGator booth LOL ).
