Final Fantasy 3, Lets talk jobs. Classic magic users will usually have a Warlock or a Shaman. Has anyone here felt any real penalty from becoming a Sage? Did you notice spells from either the intellectual or spiritual side noticeably decreasing in potency? Did anyone purposely stay w/ dedicated specialists Warlock/shaman? Why? Why not?

What was your biggest bruiser, pound for pound?

Karateka
Ninja
Knight
Barbarian ( questionable )
M. Knight ( questionable )

Who was the dominant member of your party when you were slugging it out physically? I have seen rare instances of a Barbarian hitting for major damage, which I have to scrutinize because that makes him quite the eye opener. M. Knight was shining in certain parts but not over all for me. I've had Karatekas that make Joe Lewis look like Richard Simmons, and my Knights can do no wrong, though usually are not quite up there with my focused fighter. Any thoughts?

I'm guessing you're talking about FF3(j)?
A lot of people haven't played that one, might want to at least make a note that you're not talking about FF6 :)

It's the only FF game that has never seen a US release. That's the extent of my knowledge of the game.

I'll say, I hardly know anything about it, except it was for NES [?], pretty old, and will likely never get released.

The job thing got a nice redux in FF5 though.

I always finished the game with 2 Ninjas and 2 Sages.

Buy 99 Shuriken, at least 15 Elixirs and lots of high level heal and summon magic for the sages.

During boss battles putting shuriken in both hands and then attacking always did 7000-9999 HP damage.

BTW y'all wanna see something extremely hardcore in FF3j?

Looks psychotic, what is occuring in that video? Looks like some kind of quirky survival tactic involving Bahamut.

That Bahamut battle is very early in the game and normally he's wayyyy too powerful and your party is no match for him so it's part of the game for you to die in that battle.

Yeah he used some item to either make him invincible or just build up alot of power and took off 9999HP and killed him. (I could read just half of what the item was, I'll look it up later).
