Sorry mods if this is in the wrong forum. But I need to know the game that is in DP user Atarian75's avatar. here is a link to his profile. It was an arcade game I used to play as a very young gamer...

Actually, that's the Budweiser version of Tapper, but Tapper nonetheless.

I think you can get it on gamecube in the midway classics pack. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Keep on tapping that root beer.

It's not the same, I need that retro feeling as I'm playing it.

I have it for GC on one of the Midway's. I'll tell you what, it's fun but not an easy game. I can't get very far, anyone else?

Check this out for Tapper screenshots:

I think I got to about the fourth bar, which means beating either nine or twelve levels, I forget.

Is there any difference between Root Beer Tapper and the original Tapper besides the name?

That's an interesting cab. I wouldn't mind seeing one of those up close.

The Colecovision port is not a bad stick figure as someone was offering a guess. It is a good game and one of my favs as well. I also have the Atari 2600 version, there is your bad stick figure port lol, I don't play that one.

AND... don't forget the "When you say Bud" jingle plays in the bonus round (although it sounds like crap LOL).

In the rootbeer/mountain dew/Suntory Tappers.. the song is completely different.

Incidentally let's just get the name right. It's not "root beer tapper" or anything like that.. it's TAPPER and it has Budweiser. The rest were just the later offshoots.

The cat lime helmet? Man that was my MSN Messenger avatar for a good long time and only recently changed it the other week. I have a big picture of it somewhere... Unfortunately I can't find the website it came from anymore :(

yea, the site seems to be gone...

It was some dude who just cut up a lime and stuck it on his cat's head. Thats about it, along with an amusing story.

On the contrary, the 2600 port of the game is excellent. It's certainly no match for the ColecoVision version or the arcade, but the fact that it even appeared on the 2600 - let alone is as good as it is - is a miracle.

It is quite amazing it made it to the 2600. Honestly I didn't play it much because I was disappointed in the graphics, maybe I should have given it more of a chance. I always thought it would have looked better if it was made by Activision.
