Did Forsaken PSX make anyone else want to toss their cookies? Did the same feeling happen with its other ports (64, PC).

I consider myself to be fairly strong against motion sickness, but I found myself barely making my saving throw on this one.

Other FPS's give me no problem either on PC or on Console. This made me want to hurl.

Anyone who was able to play it without Dramamine? Was it worth it?

I felt that same way after playing Forsaken for the N64.

Yeah... I can't take much of it on N64.

It's nowhere near as vomit-inducing as Descent, though... ugh...

Forsaken and Decent never really got to me. However, I'd get splitting headaches if I played any of the Tomb Raider games for any period of time.

I guess that explains my rather intense dislike of the series.

I read an interview with Hideo Kojima recently that said the reason for MGS's top down camera system was that Kojima himself got really really motion sick from first person cameras.

I used to play the N64 version with my friend all the time...in fact the only thing good about the game is the multiplayer.

I never got sick from playing the game...though I've never gotten sick from playing any game.

I play alot of flight sims and FPSs and I hardly ever feel ill. Except when I'm watching somebody else and the camera is moving very fast. Every time I watch my father-in-law do speed runs on the original Doom, I get queasy. Strange but true.

I've never gotten physically nauseous/sick from any game, but some of the FPS/drving games on N64 and PS1 gave me headaches after I played for a while due to the crappy framerates.

I haven't played forsaken, but the Medal of Honor Series makes me extremely dizzy, its like the screen is shaking.

I loved the N64 version of the game. Actually I though the game sucked I just liked the advertisements.

Yeah, I have or had (can't remember if I threw it out or not) a huge vinyl wall hanging ad for Forsaken. Hmm....should check closet. @_@

I only get sick if I can't invert the controls. That happens whenever there's a controllable camera, too.

I don't get motion sickness, but I got serious headaches from single-player mode in Super Monkey Ball. It's a seriously fun game, but the screen constantly tilting all over the place really gave me minor migraines.

I dont think I've ever had a game make me sick. Most FPS are fine when I play them. I feel bad for you guys that end up with problems. I will get the occasional headache if I play any game for too long. too long being 8 plus hours but that only happened when I was younger. Now I never have 8 hours for a game.

If you think Forsaken's bad, try playing N20: Nitrous Oxide. It's like they wanted to make a game specifically for people on acid.

I remember having to sit down and rub my eyes out after playing the desert level in Kirby's Air Ride.

I had to stop playing A Dog's Life for PS2 because playing in "scent mode" (or whatever it was called) gave me a massive migraine after a short while. I also had a prob with Gabriel Knight 3 for PC, the camera movement got to me the first time I played, luckily after that I was ok, and it is now one of my favorite games.

The only game to ever have a weird effect on me is Extreme G for the N64. I would break the sound barrier, going really fast, and then I would just feel really sleepy. It was really weird, and I couldn't play the game because of it.

Shouldn't you be getting medical help if you are being sick at game.

Obviously no one reads the "stop playing and seak medical attention" page anymore :P

Aussie2B

Not necessarily. That would be like getting medical help just because you get a little carsick or motion sickness sometimes. Some people are just more sensitive to certain things. Unless you're getting violently ill or start having seizures and foaming at the mouth, you should be okay. :P It's just a situation in which you gotta use common sense. If a particular game makes you feel bad, then don't play it or only play it in short amounts.

Heh, there's a copy of Forsaken at my local Gamestop, I think. Didn't pick it up. I remember when this one was new and thinking the package looked cool (N64 version anyhow).

Dont bother. The Playstation version doubles as a semi-decent soundtrack disc; thats about all it's good for.

I never get motion sickness in games, but I noticed after playing 3D games on a bigscreen I get a very uneasy feeling when I'm trying to look all over the screen (at the sides when doing a fast forward or rotary motion ingame). If I keep my eyes locked at the center of the screen, which is the motion focus of the camera, I don't get this feeling at all.

If you get sick from playing games, never get a Virtual Boy. I once played Mario Tennis for about an hour straight. I saw everything with a red tint for about two hours.

I get sick from a lot of FPS games. Halo I could play for a little while but after an hour or so I'd be too nauseous to keep playing. On the other hand I could play Perfect Dark for hours and not have a problem, that's one of the few I can play.

Other games that did it were Spyro games, and the worst offender: Mohawk and Headphone Jack on the SNES. I couldn't play that one for more than five minutes and I'd have to stop. Whoever thought all of that spinning was cool should be shot, and then I'll puke on their shoes for good measure.

Virtual Boy I never had a problem with, as I took a break every hour to prevent eyestrain.

I played a demo of that game once and yes, it gave me motion sickness. The first time I played Doom the same thing happened.
