Ok, mods, before moving this, understand that it's gamer related, and it only lasts one day. So you can close this thread tomorrow.
Now, if you have a Fry's Electronics store within driving distance of you, you might want to stop what you are doing and immediately go there.
Why?
Well, if you have a XBOX or a GameCube or a PS2 or a Dreamcast, then you might want a HDTV to play them on. Fry's has a Panasonic 27 inch PureFlat TV that is HD ready for $149.99 Brand Freaking New! (now the big question is, is this a typo, and is it only good at my Fry's Electronics, or is this good at all Fry's Electronics) If this isn't a typo, and this is good at all Fry's stores (definitely not the price online), then this is a sensational deal to get a pureflat 27 inch TV by Panasonic that can do 480p and 1080i for only $149.99.
Also, there is another sensational deal for video gamers. If you have any of these systems: Turbografx-16, Sega Genesis, Super Nintendo, Neo-Geo, Sega CD, Jaguar, 3DO, Saturn, PSX, N64, etc, etc,..... well you might remember I did a post about how Dolby Pro Logic IIx revolutionizes retro game sound....
Well they have a kick ass reciever that does 6.1 and it features Dolby Pro Logic IIx. It's called the Onyko TX-SR502B. It's only $99!!!
YEP $99 !!!
I actually have this reciever in my living room as the centerpiece of my living home theater system. It's that good!!
When I bought mine it was like $325 with tax and everything, but this puppy is only $99. Now it does say some open box, some store demo. But as long as the thing works, for $99, you can't go wrong!! The thing does Dolby Digital EX 6.1 and DTS ES 6.1, and it can layer Dolby Pro Logic IIx over anything!! I always have "Dolby Pro Logic IIx Music" layered over any other processing, and the sound is fantastic. Even for 2 channel music!
The bottom line is that both of these are total steals, and I'm actually thinking the maybe their is some kindof typo or something and they won't honor these prices. But if they do, then you owe it to yourself to pull out a charge card or something and just get one or both of these puppies.
You'll thank me later!!!
If somebody finds out that the TV is not actually HD ready, please let us know immedaitely. I've tried to call them to get the exact model #, but I can't get through.
