dont buy into that crap - imsure there is a ton of good games out there you havent played or have. check some out - dont pay attention to the reviewers - decide for your self - im sure youll find some gems by doing that
Get a NDS. There's at least 4 new game that just came out and are worth the play.
Meteos
Kirby
Bomberman
and many more

Who here has the money to buy games when they come out? I hope to get a few current gen titles (maybe some PC stuff) that I hadn't earlier, so this is pretty good for me.

Yeah, I concur - the drought has officially begun. Last year's was bad... this year's looks bad too. Maybe the odd PC release will brighten my day... but I'm doubtful. Oh well - thank God I'm a collector now :)

from a collector's viewpoint - droughts are a good thing. i finally have a chance to pick up older titles without "OMG BUY ME I'M NEW" screaming in my face.

thank god for these droughts...if it weren't for them I would never have time to play games just buying them in hopes there will be time for me to enjoy them

Yes, there's always something out there...the cheaper the better. My local Wal-Mart still has a $10 game bin...I agree it's silly to buy everything new. Look for something a bit older (and a lot cheaper) or (gasp!) play one of your own games that's collecting dust...

Drought? This is the time in which I buy the most games. >) Nothing beats summer game hunting; to hell with brand new releases. :)

How can you afford stuff like that? I couldn't afford a new game, that's for sure. They usually come out at around $100 NZD, which is like, yikes.
I'm poor, I know. So a little 'drought' doesn't look likely to change me.

Well, I am looking forward to Darkwatch. There's that at least.

Well Artlier Iris just came out the other day, and Makai Kingdom is due out later this month. Then there's Riveria... I'd say my RPG fix is good to go this summer.

If you can't find any good games to buy, simply start a project of playing every video game in existance in pure alphabetical order. Just imagine the fun of playing 2600 Asteroids and then 5200 Asteroids, 7800 Asteroids, Lynx Asteroids, the Asteroids & Deluxe Asteroids in the PS1 compilations and in every other Atari games collection and the Asteroids remake for PS1...then hit the arcades for the real thing! And if that doesn't do it, wait until you hit the Pac-Man games... LOL

Drought? Have you played Kirby: Canvas Course? Man it's good. Good like crack.
Also I here Bomberman DS & Meteos are supposedly great too...
With Advance Wars DS & Animal Crossing DS to follow!
Summer of the DS! 8-)

At first I had thought you were talking about drought of used games available. I know how it is with the would-be collectors who have school during most times (ie; not summer). LOL

Somehow, with the way this discussion has gone, reading Saturday's Fox Trot seems somehow quite appropriate...

Well, I felt like bringing up the summer drought again. It seems it's pretty much that time of year. Like said before, hell, I'll be playing my old Sega systems. Yay.
There looks to be a few redeeming titles this summer though. Last time I heard, NFL Head Coach is coming out this summer. Otherwise, not much else I have heard. I'll just play some Condenmed on the 360 and the SEGA systems.
By the way, Looking at my post in this thread I made, I feel like an idiot for typing like a retarded whale. I realized I was a moron then who knew absolutly nothing about forums. I apologize for those dark times for me.

The "summer drought" still has no effect on me. :) I look forward to much gaming this summer. And the one and only new game I'm buying as soon as it's out is coming out this summer - Valkyrie Profile 2: Silmeria. June 22 to be precise. Of course, that won't come out in the US until the summer's over.

I know what you mean it seems like there are a lot less games coming out but having just bought a DS Lite I now have all the DS games to chose from that I haven't been able to play, which makes for one great summer for me :D

I have so many games that I haven't played or hell even opened that this drought doesn't mean anything. Besides Prey, MotoGP, Over G Fighters and Chromehounds are all coming out.
