This thing is beatufil. BEATUFIL. I wanted it so bad, so I kept bidding. I bid against myself up to $700.....
When I didn't meet reserve I said screw this guy and called him. He only told me reserve is over 1 grand, and thats all he can say. To much for me.....

I feel your pain Marty. That thing is freaking gorgeous. It would look quite handsome in my game room. I agree that $1000 is probably pushing it, but then again, how many of them are there out there that are still in that kind of condition?

There was one for sale at OVGE for $2500. $1000 sounds like a steal!

Was this up for auction previously? How could you have bid up to $700 when as of now the high bid is only $370?

If you are the high bidder on an auction and you place another higher bid, the high bid will not change until either someone else bids against you, or you go over the reserve.

@Flack--this is the same one I saw in person at Vintage Stock in Tulsa just after I left your house, and yeah, they were asking $2500 for it, which I thought was a bit steep. But just to see one and touch one again... I used to play that thing all the time in K-Mart when I was a kid (not that very exact machine, of course) and it was great to see one in person again. The memories of playing Adventure on it came flooding back.
I'm looking to buy a house in the next year and that thing would be right at home in my basement/gameroom/bar. Ah well.

This is sweet! However, cost prohibitive. For more reasons than one. My primary problem would be my wife having to cover the cost of my funeral after she executed me for even thinking about buying/moving another game related piece into the casa. It would also be a problem in that I would need aa additional plot next to me just to be buried with it. On that note prying hands away from keyboard as not to "accidentally" place the winning bid and seal my doom.

LOL
I think you should just get one plot and be buried IN it! Then have one controller buried with you and the other one above ground, so that people visiting your grave could play a round of Combat.
