View Full Version : PAL PS1 - Megaman X series

I'm thinking of trying to track down copies of
Megaman X3, X4, X5, X6 and Megaman 8 on the PAL PS1
what are people's general thoughts on them. I like psuedo 2D/3D games so i think i might love em. Plus i love Megaman The Wily Wars on the Megadrive.
Just what are they like gameplay, difficulty blah blah blah.

Well, I'd assume the games are the same NTSC - PAL
They are all awesome. If you like megaman games, you'll love them. The lamest thing is that the names got changed from their cool original japanese names, to really lame names. The best way to describe this would be to just play and see how terribly bad they are. They are about the same dificulty as all megaman games, some people own, some people cant beat one guy. I suggest getting them all. And, AFAIK, X3 was SNES only. (Ok, I just checked, X3 came out for ps1 in europe, but not in the US, so yeah. I wonder if its any better....)

Well, the Saturn version of Megaman X3 has some extra anime cut screens throw in, so I'd gonna guess the PSX version did too.

Actually I have a Japanese PS1 version of X3 that I got from someone who was living in Japan at the time (and has since moved to Texas). I didn't bring it with me to OVGE to show off in person but I did demo it on DVD. Code on the disc spine is SP 91192.

How about you try the Megaman Legends series? That includes Misadventures of Tron Bonne.
I find them much more fun than the X series.

That's quite hilarious.
I'm more of a 2D graphics fan when it comes to this type of game. So i think ill just go for the Megaman X series (plus megaman 8). Besides i have about 40 other PS1 games to get b4 my collection (of games i want, not ALL PAL PS1) is complete.

I like the "Tron Bonne" one better than "Legends 2", but not as much as "Legends (1)". All good games. :)
