Before anyone asks, yes I do read that magazine. According to the magazine open-ended games make people smarter. These games allow people to apply strategies that they use in games in real life. Also, games like tetris are like exercise for your mind they keep you mind from getting rusty.

I've been using this argument since I was 5, since there was documentation even back then that video games improved your hand-eye coordination and helped you learn to multi-task. The more time that's gone by, the more research they've found that proves it true.

Discover said that the most popular games now a days dont help with hand-eye coordination as much as they used to. I myself have been saying this for many years. I think that's why my math skills are so damn great it's all the games I've played over the years.
