I was going to take pictures and make this a really pretty post, but the cat is asleep in here and I'm afraid the flash is going to wake him up. This is from the past couple of weeks since I haven't posted in one of these threads for a while.
- Master System Converter II (free!)
I have a boxed complete Master System Converter one, but it doesn't play some of the MS games I own, like Alex Kidd The Lost Star. So... I found a new one that plays them all! Horjay! "Find the miracle ball."
- I completed my collection of Sonic X figurines! Sonic, Tails, Big, Robotnik and Knuckles get!
- Giant DX Knuckles plush from Sonic Adventure. He's 16" tall and has pride of place on my bed. Minty fresh, still got his tag. He cost more that I would have liked, but hey, I would have liked free. :P
- Spider-Man: Return of the Sinister Six for NES, cart $3
- Baldur's Gate Dark Alliance for GCN, complete, $30
- Burnout 3 for Xbox, complete, free!
- Dead Or Alive Xtreme Beach Volleyball for Xbox, complete, $25
- Cool Spot for Mega Drive, complete, $5
- Taz Mania for Mega Drive, complete, $5
- Sonic 3D Flickies Island for Mega Drive, complete and mint, $20.
This is the best price I have ever seen for it in a store, and for this condition? Sold! My Sonic Mega Drive collection is now complete!
- Virtua Racing for Mega Drive, boxed, $5
- Phantasy Star IV for Mega Drive, complete, $5
- 2 x Japanese Mega Drive games, World Of Illusion and McDonalds Treasureland Adventure, boxed, $4 each.
The McDonalds game was actually a pleasant surprise to play, it's really fun! World Of Illusion I already have a PAL copy of, but the box art is really pretty, so I had to. :)
Pretty good effort, considering I've banned myself from eBay for the time being, I was spending too much money. All prices are in Australian dollars.

Flea Market...Went later then I wanted to.. :/
Sometimes going late is a good thing...I spent only $59.00 total/Some stuff my dad paid for.
We passed up a lot of stuff though..
.......................................
For dad not pictured.
Gameboy:
Tetris and a Darts GBC carts $10.00
N64 System with Power Pak $3.00
.........................................
SNES :
Batman Returns $2.00
NES:
Bucky O'Hare
Side Pocket
Hylide
Little Ninja Brothers
$14.00..I'm picking out games I don't own.. from the bins there.
.....................................
VideoNow (Black and White version) $4.00 with mini DVD and Batteries.(it's loud)
My Son has the color version already.
Placo Video Shooter..Light gun...$10.00
This was with a NES system and games..the block fits into a NES... What the HECK is this For..?
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v21/Chris1/2005_0702_185335AA.jpg
........................................
PreComputer 1000 Vtech with cart and batteries $2.00
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v21/Chris1/2005_0702_185345AA.jpg
..................................
Handheld games: This all came in one big box.
The guy wanted $4 a piece then said $10.00 for the whole box. x_x .Stuff in the boxes is complete and mint.
I was just going to buy the four handheld games at $4.00 a piece.. :P
This stuff is ridiculously mint I can't believe it....Stuff looks never touched inside..with paperwork and Styrofoam.,no dirt or dust etc.
The Head to head even has a big flap on the box that folds over for display.
The one Baseball game is an old Epoch game..Interesting. :?
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v21/Chris1/2005_0702_210545AA.jpg
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v21/Chris1/2005_0702_185353AA.jpg
....................................
Before I left I checked the price on the Candy/Gumball machine that I passed up last week because in my eye's it says $50.00 at least with the vendors I deal with..(it's big)
The guy said $10.00..I ask him over to him to make sure he wasn't thinking I was pointing at something else.
I was shocked $10.00 and it's complete besides the flap I need to put back on...It has locks and it's "clean"..I already found a nice spot for it in my kitchen..(I've always wanted one of these things)
I'm going to put on two new candy Stickers(leave the M& M on) that I can get at my wife's store or make up..and some 25 cent stickers(because I have them) on the bins.
The left one says Skittles and the center bin drop holes look bigger like for Gumballs.
It all works ..where is says 25 cent it takes quarters..
I just need to change the 3 locks or make up keys for it(not a problem)..(the locks are open)
It'll look a lot nicer when filled and Stickered.(I still have to clean it up better)
On top it has a picture of a missing child..Should I leave that on..(?) :?
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v21/Chris1/2005_0702_193919AA.jpg
Edit..It's starting to clean up by removing covering sticker/residue.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v21/Chris1/2005_0702_214504AA.jpg
.................................................. .................................................. .............................
Some vendors very just straight crazy on prices..Example:.Nice no box deck old style Genesis system with no AC plug..$40.00..Around 20 loose nice games in the box with the Genny/ a cute Sega cart bag ...$3.00 each game..(commons)
This guy did not want to sell the whole lot...though I would not of paid $40.00 for it all it anyway.
$20.00 loose common SNES carts.
.................................................. .......
Upon getting to the Flea:
The first vendor me and my dad hit was the smaller Airsoft Gun dealer.
My dad didn't buy anything from him but got some info on some coming in items.
I bought a BB catching target for $5.00..(as my dad has)
Then we visited the bigger Airsoft type Gun dealer..he was waiting for us and told people to move(shouting) to let us through("Here's the guy"-"come to the back to see this special stuff")..I blushed because I felt like some sort of celebrity. :embarrassed:
He had three special Gas guns for my dad..And IMO with they money my dad spends with him,he's his best customer..I didn't get a picture of them (yet) but they were three of the nicest I've seen yet and at $590.00 for the three they better be nice..
I was going to buy another Spring Airsoft gun or maybe a rifle but I just never got around to it..
I really go to the flea market just for the games..

What the HECK is this for??
If you are talking about that black box next to the light gun, I assume it is the reciever for the gun. The gun is wireless, right?

:)
Yes..
It's wireless and the gun has 4 AA batteries in it.
I'm going to take a guess that this is just a wireless NES gun..Right.?
It throws me off with the "Placo"on it and it looks like master System gun.
I've never heard of Placo nor have ever seen this gun..

Bah. The boot sale today was very, very poor. Most of the tables featured PS2 or Xbox games... and I'm not in the market for used games on current platforms.
Really, the only thing that caught my eye was this N64 bundle that two unemployed hippies were selling. One looked like the ginger, Scottish guy from the second Austin Powers movie (though not as funny - but not without his charm!), and the other pronounced herself as "disabled". She had green hair.
The unboxed N64 bundle included three controllers and rumble pak, 5 boxed games (with inlays) and a loose copy of GoldenEye. They wanted £30 for the lot so as to keep a roof over their heads until their benefits came through.
I couldn't justify buying a second N64, so I just bought the 5 boxed games. And with that, I left. Not a great day.

I don't think it's that. The power light comes on and the signal flickers on the tv.
Actually I just got it to briefly work for a couple of seconds. I think it could have something to do with the aerial plug being very loose in the socket. It's not the aerial cable that's loose, it's the socket. Any idea what I can do about that?

Actually I just got it to briefly work for a couple of seconds. I think it could have something to do with the aerial plug being very loose in the socket. It's not the aerial cable that's loose, it's the socket. Any idea what I can do about that?
it might just be that u need to tune it in ;)
If not, just open it up and check the RF port see if it is damaged or wobbly or whatever...
Good Luck!

Well it's not wobbly or anything. I can't see what it could be. It just either works or, mainly, doesn't. Oh, well. I'll have to try getting £2 each at least for the games to get my money back.

Dont forget the MD has an AV port (Megadrive 1) so you could always try an a AV Cable, it might just be the RF port that is dead...

That N64 was at the first yardsale I went to, the kid said the games were 2.00 each or everything was 50.00, I offered him 20.00 for the games, he said OK. Then I said, "well, I'll give you 25.00 for everything if you want" and he took it.
Not to mention him AND his dad seemed over ecstatic to see it leaving their house, I don't know why, but they REALLY wanted to get rid of this Nintendo 64. LOL

i do hope you've tested it, i mean they may have messed it up in some way if they were that enthusiastically happy with it going :/
this weekend i picked up:
20 famicom games and 5 super famicom games for 99p each, some of the fami stuff is pirate but i got a real rockman 3 and rockman 5 in the collection as well as a duck tales, bps tetris, namco star wars.. of the pirate stuff there is a copy of world heroes which is an HK original it stars a few street fighters, mario, sonic and leo from the ninja turtles :D, i also got family kid, which is a sonic rip-off, but it has completly unique level design... all the super fami stuff is real, the games are pink panther and vulture twin (gambling games), road runner, the rocketeer, mickey mouse and evil boss
got some ps2 games too: gunbird special edition and
XII STAG for £15
and lastly i got donkey konga + bongos for £14.99, i spotted the tag took it to the counter in GAME, they told me it should be £37.99 but i mentioned that since it was marked up at £14.99 it should be sold for that, hah they couldnt complain with me then :D

Maybe they just hate the system with a passion. 2 years ago I would have been ecstatic to see my N64 and collection of games to leave at a garage sale my mom held. It never happend, and I'm glad it didn't today :)
It's one system alot of people seem to hate (at least where I live).

Actually, they don't have to sell it for the price it's marked at. They're only breaking the law if they intentionally put a misleading price on something.
EDIT:
Minty boxed megadrive 1 complete with 4 games (sonic 2, megagames 2, ecco the dolphin and a menacer cart)
£3 Smile
Damn you.
(Manical laugh) HAHAHAHAHA! It was my second megadrive in as many weeks (though the other one was unboxed but for only £2 ihow could i not resist).
I love the car boots in south wales, their so cheap .
Just to rub it in a bit more I've had about 6-7 boxed snes's in 8 months all around £5 (most were sold on to fund a xbox splurg before christmas, i had nearly 40 games)

I haven't tested it yet, but it's in great shape, and even if it doesn't the games are worth it alone.
Either way they were selling shit CHEAP, my bro got a skateboard for 1.00, a 19" TV for 5.00, a drum machine for 1.00. They just wanted to get rid of stuff I guess.

I was going to check out what Circuit City had, but by the time I left work, it was already closed. :(
BUT! I did take advantage of the 30% off deal at Gamerush and picked up...
Kirby Canvas Curse (DS/New) - $25
Pokemon Ruby (GBA/New) - $21
Which is awesome because I'm back to owning every single Pokemon US game release after the five game GBA onslaught. :)

Zelda Collectors Edition - GCN
Gradius - NES
Blaster Master - NES
Xevious - NES
Life Force - NES
Kid Icarus - NES
A Samsung Game Boy and 5 carts. It looks like an SMS and the carts look like oversized Colecovision carts. Probably some pirate system. If it is, it's the first one I have ever come across in the wild.

Silhouette Mirage (PS) for $10
I probably wouldn't have thought of picking it up but it's a Working Designs game and I loved Lunar and Lunar 2 so much I just HAD to get it. The intro to this game is worth the ten bucks!!!
