Some of you may know that I'm working on turning half of the garage into an arcade, the other half.. well it'll be just for cars.
I got the painting done this week, 2/3s of the carpet (I need to buy another roll), and got a neon fan. I'm also hanging up a curtain between the two halves of the garage to separate them, and painting a garage cabinet a neon blue. A friend donated me the foosball table, and another friend donated me the D&D arcade machine :) The fuzzy shot is because I purposely turned off the flash.. you can't get a real arcade feel with light!

That's the same color blue I want to paint my game room when.
Room looks really cool. I want that D&D kit for my own CPS machine. :)
Can't wait to come over when it's comletely done.
Are you going to move the consoles in there as well?

Looks awesome man. That color of blue is really awesome. Someday I'd like to give my gameroom a makeover. My wife decorated it in "50's Ice Cream Parlor" instead of "80's Arcade" but I'll take what I can get. :)
If you're looking for some cheap neon, check Walgreens and Target. Both of them have small neon signs with words and small objects (like flamingos or palm trees) for under $20.

It's my garage... so.. no :) I'm not sitting out in the heat/cold all day. And besides, consoles don't belong in an arcade!
The blue is "Velvet Blue" from Wal-Mart. Ginger didn't think it looked right, I said it looked dead on.

You know, when we first built my arcade, I went the exact same route. In my mind, I envisioned a little "living room corner" that would have a couch, television, and all my old consoles. Unfortunately my design skills didn't match the design in my head, and what I ended up with was an 8' foot table with some televisions and game consoles on it and a few spare kitchen chairs pushed up to it.
After I got it all set up, I decided that it wasn't very much fun at all to sit in a workshoup out behind my house in a kitchen chair and play Playstation by myself, and began building my second gameroom (the upstairs one).

That looks nice. I haven't played that cab in years.
I did the same thing except I only had a single car garage. My wife wanted my arcade cabs out of the house.
