Hi everybody
I've bought one minute ago a game on ebay.de. I think it could be a prototype.
Here is the picture:

AFAIK, Thrill Kill was close to being finished, but then got cancelled because it was too violent. What he's saying is a beta/proto disc got leaked, and then pirates copied and mass produced it.

Babelfish:
it gives already nen admitted proto from the play, and inlay in that the CD sees extremely cheaply out (size is not correct times), therefore assumes I that similarly as with dreamcast protos (help Life etc..) simply someone burned a CD image and into ne wraps put Bleh perhaps you have in addition, luck

I think you are right. I send a mail to the seller if it's a bootleg or the "real" prototype....
If it's a bootleg than he don't get my money :D
Ok...it was just 10 Euros....and the seller look quite familiar....but anyway, we'll see.....
Thanks for your response....

it surely is a bootleg - there were just 2 different leaked betas "released".

I have a "real" copy of this title on an official Activision disk. Anyone know what the deal is with that?

ahahaha, and here, especially for you, the dutch translation of that english text LOL

By the way:
I have send an email to the seller if it is the prototype or a bootleg. He means he have bought it in turkey.....
I think you all know what it means ;)
But he was very friendly....I don't need to pay anymore.
And I became a positive feedback :D

most definatly a rip......the original wouldnt have made it to that state with finished jewl case design...though maybe....
thrill kill has been leaked to the extent that even real original protos have lost their value

Its not legitimate. The game was never officially released and its prototype form (or beta form) is all over the internet. Its been burned and has been widely available for years. You can tell that its not legitimate because of the cover not being centered and besides the fact that protos and betas tend not to (this doesnt mean never) come with covers like this. Theres little reason to go to making full packageing for something thats not 'done' yet.
@ buyatari
I thought that the game was originally being done by an activision development team and thus aquired by EA for publishing, but I could be wrong. I know its engine was later used for the WuTang Clan fighter and its engine before it was Thrill Kill was being worked on for something called Shaolin (or so my brain is telling me)

*raise*
I was given a burnt CD with the game on over the weekend. The person who gave me it was under the impression it was far more complete than the beta currently doing the rounds on the download circuit and that, for example, it had a full FMV intro sequence present.
He said he'd had a very good look on the net but could only find the other "beta" that doesn't have this intro sequence available.
Question is, how many "betas" are there, and are they all actually out there for download?
(or more precisely, did my friend actually look hard enough to find the version he gave me?)
@Papastu - the version I was given shows the "original" publisher to be Virgin, not EA (as the first thing you get is a Virgin FMV) here. No mention of EA at all. The developers were Paradox btw.

I have a copy of the FULL version of the game,it is completely finished and has intro and everything .
I got it at a collectors meeting last week,i have the BETA also and there's quite some differences,as in music and visual.
