Hi,

I'm pretty new to the world of retro gaming and I've started collecting the Sega Megadrive and its related consoles / accessories. I do have a few questions though:

1) Do I have to have the base plate(s) between my Mega CD ( Mark I ) and my Megadrive or can they run without them?

2) Is there anywhere on the net that sells replacement screws / plates for Mega CD's?

3) I have bought a complete Menacer from Ebay but I cannot get it to work, any ideas where I should start or do I just write it off as a lost cause?

Sorry if these have been asked before but I could not find them all through the search.

Thanks,

James.

P.S.
I'm from the UK and all my systems are unmodded PAL. :)

Yeah, you'll need the metal plate plugged in, though the screw isn't strictly necessary. Don't know if there's anywhere to get individual parts, you might be better off trying to find a cheap non-working MegaCD that includes it.

Have you got batteries in the Menacer?

Yes I have!! LOL

Tried them in both ways as well, didn't make much of a difference. I also set up the Menacer exactly as it showed in the manual but it doesn't pick up any button presses.
