Atelier Iris thoughts?

Welp, I'm playing it now and the game rocks.

There's something about it that sort or reminds me of a cross between Star Ocean 2 and Phantom Brave. It seems like just about everything in the world is either useable or customizable. I run through town just zapping up all the loose crates, barrels, rocks, trees and bushes for my mana count.

The story its self seems pretty meh so far, but the dialouge and missions are so good/fun who really cares?

16 hours into the game and enjoying it quite a lot.

I love the old school graphics and the storyline, albeit a little slow and deja-vu is still interesting... I want to know what happens next and it can be hard to drop the controller.

Sure the game has some shortcomings (the battle system is ok but not very deep IMO) but I still enjoy it a lot.

I'd definitely remcommend it to anyone who likes old school RPGs from the SNES era.

This is a for sure for SNES style RPG's. Fans of the newer set of RPGs will most likely not like this one.

Im gonna wait for it to come down in price, it looks interesting but there are alot of shortcomings I am affraid of, such as the battle system, affraid its too traditional for my likings.

This one looks great from what I've seen. If it's a throwback to the SNES era of RPG's, then that can only be a good thing, because as far as I'm concerned the SNES era was truly the Golden age of RPG's. Looking forward to picking this one up as soon as possible. :)
