On my way to U-Haul to pick up more boxes to pack, I couldn't resist checking the near by thrift stores. I found Action Arcade Adventure Set book with the disk. It is a book about creating arcade games in C. I don't know if it is good or not, but it is thick and was only 2.12. My other find was Superman (with the box, no instructions) for the Genesis. It was 3.99.

When I get off work, I'll probably hit up the local used game stores, to see if I can find any gaming goodness.

I saw a used copy of Vib Ribbon at one local place last week for 7.99, so I may pick that up if I can't find anything...

I found Wheel of Fortune Complete for NES at Salvation Army yesterday for 85 cents. Nothing to brag about, BUT....

Today I found Tactics Ogre for PLaystation at a garage sale- $5.00

Nice find on the Tactics Ogre!

Not much of a "find", seeing as you can get them anywhere, but I ended up getting:

Black GC
Wavebird controller
251 memory card
svga hookups
Super Monkey Ball
Wave Race

I have no idea WHY I got them now (I was originally waiting till next month when Mario hits), because I have so many other games to play, but what can you do :)

Tactics Ogre is a GREAT game, if you like the strat-rpg genre.

Alot of people just don't "get" Final Fantasy Tactics, Tactics Ogre, etc.

While I personally like FFT better than Tactics Ogre, TO still stands on it's own legs. Has a pretty decent story, great battles, and gorgeous hand drawn sprites.

Only thing I don't like is later on, you have to "train" your teams to advance due to the difficulty of the enemies you face. Training basically consists of taking half of your team, and facing it off against the other half of your team (with you controlling both sides). You don't get any items this way, but you do get experience. Not a bad idea in concept, but gets REALLY old after a while...

I went a bit overboard yesterday too, but dammit I got payed and the store was have a huge sale!

All DC for $70, used & complete:

Toy Commander
Soul Fighter
Gunbird 2
Pen Pen Triacelon
Elemtenal Gimmick Gear
Donald Duck Goin Quackers (sealed & only $5!)
Coaster Works
Super Runabout
Slave Zero
Evil Dead: Hail to the King

It's an average of about $7 per game, so I guess it's not all bad. I also got Indy 500 New for Game.Com. I suppose I'll go for the entire DC collection, after this I think it puts my collection at the half way point.

Actually I was one the first to buy Orge Battle and love it...then got really tired of it was the game size increased and there was no option to save in the middle of campains- leaving me to take long breaks in-between fights and wasting alot of time. Least with the PSX OB you can save during campains.

Nice finds Achika!
