To keep the question short, I'm a huge fan of the original P&R and am wondering if the sequel is worth picking up.

Your opinionated opinions are appreciated.

A worthy successor to the first one. What more can I say. Now I must go home and emulate it on my PSP. Yay. Another forgotten Gem on the SNES. :D

I've never heard of them are they as good as dkc? What would you compare them with something like Aero the Acrobat I'd suppose? (I didn't really like that game much)

Donkey Kong Country is another kind of game. Its a platformer. Pocky & Rocky isnt. But I think dkc are much more popular yea. Same with Aero the Acrobat, its also a platformer.

Dont know how to explain it, but you move around like in a RPG game, just here its more of from start to goal. Not that much to explore. There are some treasurechests around which you need keys to open. There is also a shop in each level were you can buy powerups.

eeeeeh? it's basically a shmup, it's just that you are running instead of flying ;) if you know Shock Troopers for Neo Geo you know what to expect, although not quite as fast-paced and not anywhere as many opponents on the screen

fair enough but does it have a giant end of level bosses like a giant kidney or something? Hopefully everything is kinda linear in good way so you don't get lost and stuff, so like Zombies ate my neighbours... O_O

No no, you can't get lost. It's *really* linear, and yes there are bosses.

I think of it now as a shmup, but back when it came out, I didn't really know what to think of it, other than the fact that it's very fun.

It's just a very cute game, and it's even better in two player co-op. The few people I know who have actually played the game seem to all like it. It's a universally likeable game.

Come to think of it, I never did get around to playing P&R2. I oughtta do that.

Yes, It's an excellent (though fairly rare) game. It's not as good in co-op mode as the first one though, mainly due to the fact that player one can only play as Pocky, and that there is a special attack that can only be done by hurling player two at the enemy, causing the 2nd player to become nothing more than a glorified smart bomb during boss fights. :/

That's quite enough :/ now I have to get a hold of this game somehow?

P&R2 is another underrated worthy action title to pick up. Just as fun as the first one!

It's a very very good game but I stll prefer the original, which is more polished and rocks some more detail.
