wdup,
see some familair names....some of you may remember me as "edeeek" on gameTZ.com.
Anyways after being in the hobby for 6 years and selling over 4 collections on ebay ive finally decided to call it quits for good. Always had fun selling big collections of NES games and then starting over from scratch but i simply don't have the time anymore...up for auction are my boxes and manuals that i was going to use to build yet another collection.
Top notch stuff...definately not a throw away lot here. Thanks for checkin it out...bid high and often :-)

Just out of curiosity, how much do all of the boxes weigh?
$50-$60 shipping via media mail sounds very excessive to me.

it isnt so much weight as it is space...
i'm also throwing in over 250 dust sleeves which will have to be shipped seperately from the boxes and manuals. Then theres going to be the bubble wrap and packaging peanuts imma have to buy to keep everything in its best shape...im sure that will cost $10 on its own.
It could be cheaper than $50 but probably not by much.

It looks like a good description, but a few more photos would be nice. Specially of the original Nintendo "Black Box Games" Those are probably the ones that would look the worth with edge ware and such.

Unless I'm missing something, the black box titles included are really a collection of some of the most common sports titles with maybe 2-3 desired* ones included. Here's what I saw for black boxes:
10-Yard Fight
Balloon Fight*
Golf
Hogan's Alley (x2)
Gyromite
Pinball
Popeye*
Pro Wrestilng
Soccer
Tennis
IMO, there are a lot better titles to focus attention to than the black boxes available. I think it's an amazing lot and I wish the seller luck. I could see it topping $500.

I see your point, however the black box games are the ones that could potentially show the most wear. So if they were shown to be in excellent condition that would speak volumns for the rest of the boxes.
Just my thoughts. :)

The black box titles in this lot were not aquired from the ex rental store I bought out...so they are in used but very good condition.
They are also not the main selling point of this collection, otherwise I'd have individual pics of just the black boxes. The main selling point is that the collection is so deep and includes so many rare and popular titles. That is why I took the time to list each and every box and manual.

Wow, reached $910. I would never pay that much for some boxes and manuals. Maybe if they were mint and not folded. Or.. no, I wouldnt spend that much money on boxes and manual anyway hehe. Only if I could make profit I would :)
So this is a damn good price if you ask me.

I think the price is a good one, although I also wouldn't buy this many boxes unless I needed them & had a spare 900 bucks to spend :) There are quite a few doubles in there, but also a lot of rares, so I think it's definitely a worthwhile lot for that price.

Folding boxes is one of the best ways to store them & keep them in good condition. I don't see how folding boxes worsens their condition? Most of mine are folded, and all those that were mint are still mint if I were to unfold them. I guess it depends on how much care you put into folding them in the first place. Either way I prefer boxes to be folded, as they can be stored more easily, damaged less easily, and I always keep my carts on display without manuals/boxes anyway to prevent wear on the latter. :)

Might be, but I still dont like to fold my own box. I've done it on a GBA game I bought. And it looks strange. Hard to explain, but It doesnt look as good as the factory folded ones. Yes, I have folded it correctly hehe :P

If you would have read the description you'd know that 75%-80% of the boxes in this lot are factory deadstock...as in near mint-mint, unused, and un-folded.
Take a look around ebay, most box/manual lots finish around $1-2 each...the price currently stands at $1.68 per box/manual which in my opinion is very reasonable.

Ok, but as I said, I would never used that much money at once one some boxes and manual, even if they were factory folded. Unless I could profit from it :) This is nothing negative, its just my opinion.

To each his own. This was a very nice lot to say the least whether it was for profit or for collector.
