DP has re-opened this Forum for us to discuss CGE2K3 (hey, that rhymes!). So, let's get this Forum hoppin'! Get some threads started ! Let's find out:

- Who's making plans to attend this year. Will this be the first for you?
- Who needs to make crashing arrangements? Roomies anyone?
- If you find some great airfare deals, how about posting them here?
- Heard any cool rumors about those ever-sought-after CGE cart releases? (And can we not use the phrase "CGE Exclusive" please? Thanks.)
- Want to speculate on any of the special events, guests, seminars that will happen this year?

Now's the time to begin making plans folks. Let's start the anticipation!

I am saving up to attend. I'm looking for cheap fares and whatnot. I am also looking for someone with a room who wants to split the cost 2 ways or more.

I could also drive I guess :D Total Distance: 1445.76 miles Total Estimated Time: 24 hours, 16 minutes

Rumor has it that chocabokick and Lexicon are going to be married at CGE.

This will be my second, and I hope to have a table representing the NES, and will also be available (bearing logistics) for forum members to sell their wares. I personally won't be selling much; I will use the table more for demoing Nintendo games, and competitions. Very early stages, but this is what I'd *like* to do. :)

Sorry kids, being as this will be my vacation (PAID!) for the year, I'm going in style and staying on the strip. Cab fare will suck, but I'm not going to gamble this year. (Well, some poker. A little) I'd be willing to share, possibly, but this is a bit away, so keep that in mind ;)

I'm bad at this. I may have built some mileage from work, so I dunno yet. Please post deals :)

releases? (And can we not use the phrase "CGE Exclusive" please? Thanks.)

We may see a non-CGE services NES homebrew this year.

If a certain MR HARDIE gets back to me, I may... *may* have something absolutely huge to give to CGE. And I've begun the process of pooling NES people together to speak at CGE. Very unlikely, but who knows.

Holy shit! Is it showtime already??? :)

Email me your letter again Dave to remind me.

As for rumors, I can only tease at this point but we've already lined up our first guest and it's someone who's new to the show. Also, and that's a big also, if things go as planned, we'll have something really big to show in the museum this year. That's all I can say for now. You have been officially teased. :)

By God, I'm going to try to make it. However, due to the loss of my "moonlighting" job, chances aren't looking too good. I'm also on the market for a new job in a different location, and unless it's very very close to Vegas, any such hypothetical move would kill my chances for 2003. :-(

I'd just about donate organs to go to this thing though. Way too many people I want to meet, games I want to play, and...well...just things I wanna do, y'know? :o

I've actually booked the air+ hotel already, I hope it's a good deal, $345, 4 nights at Fitzgerald with morning dept and evening return (I did a midnight flight and arrived early morning laty yr, I'll never do this again just to save money on package deal).

There're many hotels on Fremont Exp so you don't necessarily have to stay in The PLaza, here're the links for the hotels

If you live in Western part of US and can drive to Vegas in less than 12 hours, I'd recommend driving yourself. If you check the hotels, I found you can stay in El Cortez for $35 a night for Fri/Sat, even $25 for Thur and Sun, this way, you can manage the cost of travelling to a minimun.

I had so much fun last year, nothing is going to keep me away. It'll probably end up as a family trip once again, driving down and back. More details as soon as they become available...

I marathon drove to Vegas from Seattle, 30 hours straight. I look forward to doing it again this year, if only to bring the big things that I will have for the auction block. I'm assuming that CGE2k3 will be at the Plaza again, and if it is I have every intention of staying there again. Double Deck Black Jack and free Tom Collins' here I come!

Actually if it's from Seattle, check Am West vacations rates

http://www.americawestvacations.com

the cheapest hotel option is Fitzgerald, if you book now and don't mind inconvenient time of flying (ie: 1am to 6 am), it may not be much more than driving.
