My Collection...Up for grabs???

It has been a long while, and some of you may remember me. I have an extensive collection of video systems and consoles. I have 64 of the 69 released unique consoles and a total of 101 systems. I am calling it quits...Collecting has served its purpose for me in getting through a rough patch of my life and I would now like to share it with th world... I am listing my consoles purely as an interest check at this point...With such an extensive collection I'd like it to sell as a complete set and not by parts. Please post your feedback or email me with questions. If you know anyone with a disposable income that would be interested in a world class collection by all means, give them my info or give me theirs. Collecting has been an amazing experience. Please feel free to look through what I have, including some extreme rarities. I am not even going to bother listing my games and accessories at this point.

I already have some wants on that list, but not planning on buying the whole collection. I'm thinking you might do better breaking it up.

as I mentioned, it is merely an interest check at this time and Im just saying I'd prefer to keep the collection together...thank you for your feedback and reply...please keep them coming.

I know you don't want to break them up, but anyone with that kind of scratch either already has a lot of those or is a reseller just looking to profit off your stuff.

wow...i knew the RDI halcyon and if could have eventually figured out the Entex Adventurevision if i looked long enough at the list, but i have never heard of the Bandai TV-Jack SuperVision 8000, the Gakken TV Boy Compact Vision or the Daewoo Zemmix ...... i guess that explains why you dont have them

do you have any pictures of the systems that you do have?? id love to see that many systems in one place

I have all my systems photographed and am making a database with them...I've also been featured in newspapers and magazines with my entire collection piled together in glamour shots. Like I said this is an interest check and once I am ready for sales to start I will have an online database for everyone to go through absolutely everything, games and all.

well, my interest check has not been going well, although there are many showing interest in my collection but I have received zero interest in my rare and valuable items...If I cant find any interest for my entire collection then I doubt I'll sell it.

you could probably easily sell every system you have individually .... but, as a whole....not too many people have that kinda money, and the people that do and are interested in game system probably already have a lot of what you do and dont really want to buy some of them again.....which is why you should sell the rares to hard core collectors with lots of $$$ to spend and all the other systems....sell them to people that dont yet have them, could easily get them, but just havent yet

selling the non-rares are easy, its the rares that are hard...I never said I wouldn't split up the lot...This was an interest check to see who was interested in what, and nobody is interested (from the responses I've received) the chunk of my collection that is rare. Basically, the hardcore collectors have not expressed interest.

Seriously. I PMed about the A'Can yesterday. I'd probably talk about the Marty, too. There's interest in some rarer stuff dude.

Yes I have received the A'Can requests...and that is duly noted. But that leaves a lot left. I have everyones PMs and responses noted and will keep them in mind. But as of this moment the demand is not the best....I do have a few bulk offers though and if they are serious, I may have the demand required to post my collection up for sale.

hi all, new here. I have some wants on this list as well but as others have stated, I just don't have the funds to buy a collection of this size in one shot. I have just recently gotten into collecting this stuff and I buy what I can when I can afford it. if you decided to sell stuff seperately I would have no problem inquiring on some of it.

Im at the moment putting together an online database...will take quite some time though.

Do you have any intention of selling them sepperatly or are you gonna keep it all toughter and if so how much are you looking for just a rough estamate

I could't picture anyone actually parting with their entire hobby after spending so much time and money building up a mother load like that.

The only thing I'd want out of that lot is your turbo duo, but I seriously doubt you could find someone to buy that all in one shot (and getting what it's really worth) without spending more time then just splitting it up.

Anyway, good luck :)

These threads are so tiresome.

If you want to sell your stuff, why not set a price and see if anyone wants to meet it?

If nothing's for sale here then per the rules I'm moving it to the main forum.

There are a few systems there I would like to have, but unfortunately, it's not in the budget for me.

I've always had this weird fascination with the Loopy, for example. I didn't even realize there were *two* versions of the Loopy.

The Marty is another I wouldn't mind having around.

But as I said, money's tight for me. I'll pass.

My interest in console collecting is starting to wane anyway.

Im sorry, my list is of excell format and a lot of the systems with numbers next to them are multiples...as in I have 2 loopy systems with no box...sorry for the confusion...the database will be up soon and make more sense.

Well if you are looking to gauge interest, I'm interested in buying some, but without prices, it is really useless to try to gauge how interested.

what about the Colorvision?
it took cartridges and is like a cross between a adventurevision and a game and watch.

SOME of us may remember you?!

Anyhow, um, you're getting rid of all of it? ALL of it? :O

I'd be interested in a few systems - Super A'Can and PV-2000 (or 1000, is it?), if they came with games, but you can definitely count me out otherwise, lol.

Big collections don't sell nearly where you want them to. You know that by now. Do yourself a favor; sell it off piece by piece over years.

theres a bunch of stuff there i'd love to buy, but theres no way im ever going to be able to buy all of it in one shot. if you had things split up, and put price tags on everything, then i'd probably buy some stuff.. but with the rarity on some of these things, it's just too hard to make a real offer when nobody knows what it's worth. put up some prices of your own dude..

whoever said it is right.. if anyone buys the whole lot in one go, itll be to resell.. i hate the idea of a collection like this going to some dirty ebay seller, much less the n00bs that will be getting it after that.
most collectors do it with their spare money (or food and petrol money like i do:P) and would love to buy from you in small amounts.

What about the Microvision?

can_dude

no hand helds (ie microvision) and as for the colorvision, I have been debating that one for a while as to it's validity as a console...if you truly believe it is one, then it is...but I don't have it.
