does it really make it fair to those who are trying to accumulate meseta for those who work to get it rather than offer to buy it?
Ummm, yeah.
I understand that meseta could be given, but i think it should be a VERY VERY small amount on the dollar so that someone couldn't go and donate something like $100 and get all the meseta and buy everything. I do understand that donations are welcome but i think something like T-shirts , coffee mugs, mice, etc. would be cooler.
Well, I guess that answers your first question.
Anyway, I figured M500 for every $1. Yeah, that's my officlal Meseta denotation.

I know I'm late to this, but if you feel you need something to donate, then you're missing the point of donating in the first place.

I made a ridiculously small donation, not as an insult, but it was simply all I had left in my PayPal account at the time. I'll be more than happy to regularly send the remainder of what I have in my account of my cycles of eBay buying and selling.

Oh no, I guess my post was misunderstood! I meant are we doing a fundraiser / telethon (i.e. see how much we can total, etc)

I will say right now for the record that anyone who wants to buy meseta can buy mine for half the market price LOL
I am not sure about the whole donating money to get meseta thing, seems a bit messed up to me - and ruins the original point of having the meseta.
Perhaps some inventory items that can only be bought with real $ or something. Or a real DP lottery LOL

I've added all kinds of options to the donation button. You can get a DP t-shirt, the 50 issue CD-ROM, even a set of books... oh yeah, and even meseta for those of you who value them :)

is there something wrong with paypal today?
i tried to donate 3 times since morning today (finaly payday) and each time when i click pay i get an error that says you need to log in to access this function (or something like that ) and im already logged in
also - i have a question that may apply to some people
how do you know who is donateing if thier paypal email address is diferent from the one listed here (for the ones choosing one of the new options) that is related to a virtual object -- also there is no place to add a message if you wanted to (but that could be related to the problem with paypal (if there is one today)
