Today I stopped by the pawn shop, and they had a couple of atari games and some colecovision games. So I browsed through the atari games and picked up the following:

Chuck Norris/Artillery Duel
Spike's Peak/Ghost Manor
Star Wars: The Empire Strikes back
Wizard of Wor
Star Voyager

all except Star Wars were 2.50 each CDN. I also grabbed for coleco

Spy Hunter
Buck Rodgers

both for 3.00 CDN each, because they were 'popular' (so the owner said).

Anyhow, as he is ringing in the games, I seen a little text thing on the Chuck Norris/Artillery Duel saying 'plays on colecovision' so I'm thinking there must be fine print and its with the adapter. But when I get to the car, I check, and it's actually the Colecovision one! I didn't even know they had double enders!!! When I got home threw the carts into Cart commander, I just about flipped!!!

Anyhow, I'm now the proud owner of a Chuck Norris/Artillery Duel double ender for Colecovision. My rarest and most valuable cart ever. And it only cost me 2.50 CDN :)

Have a nice day ;)

That's GREAT! The closest I've come to that was someone wanted to sell me one for $125 last year. I passed. Congrats!

It's all good... my coleco find is better than your coleco find, and your atari find is better than mine, so we are all winners! ;)

hydr0x: A thrift store is a store that sells mostly used, second hand items. The Salvation army does it here, seperate from the church, to raise money for programs they offer. Same as the goodwill, but a different organization.

Value Village also does, but they are a for profit thrift store. They only pay charities money for bulk amounts of stuff to sell.

Does this answer your question?

Charlesaway - Did you say a pawn shop?

You have pawn shops there that sell these games?

Here we have to rely on thrift shops, fleas and garage sales.....

What kind of pawn shop would take these in in the first place, especially if they are only selling them for $3.

He must have paid like $1 for them.
Interesting...

Pawns are hit and miss around here (I'm in Western Canada), and mostly miss at that. Most won't touch stuff that old, but you get the odd one that does. problem is, the odd ones that do, usually have no idea about what they have, and err on the side of high prices. :/

there is a Cash canada pawn near my place, that has combats and realsports football, and millipede, for $5 each. ugh.
