I know I have. I've done it in the past with Nintendo, Sega, Capcom, Hudson Soft, and Taito.

Right now I'm on a Konami binge. I'm playing waaaaaaay too many games at once. On the NES, I'm currently looping Contra, and Super C to set some personal high scores. I'm also playing TMNT III: The Manhattan Project for nostalgia kicks. Life Force is frustrating the hell out of me, but I keep coming back for more. And even the Double Dragon clone on rollerskates, Rollergames (published under Konami's other title, Ultra) is getting playtime (I've only beaten this game once, it's hard!).

But it doesn't stop with the NES. On the SNES I'm enjoying a good run through Sunset Riders and am thinking about digging out Gradius III again.

On the Genesis I'm currently addicted to Rocket Knight Adventures... once agin.

On the GBA, I'm about 1/3 the way through Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow (for the 5th time).

And finally we've got the Playstation. I'm enjoying a romp through Vandal Hearts ATM and am planning on starting up Metal Gear Solid (never played it before O_O).

So... anyone else go on these kinds of gaming binges?

Of course, I find it hard to play one 2D sonic game without digging out my NGPC, Master System, etc etc!

Make sure you check out Konami Crazy Racers (GBA) and Buster Busts Loose (SNES)

I'm sure you could have guessed this by my handle, but I'm known to go on a Capcom binge from time to time, especially if they're having a really awesome sale through their online store (sometimes you even get free shipping).

Ever go on a gaming binge with titles from just one company

we all do my friend without realising as EA releases everything nowadays!

but seriously :P I know what you mean, i usually do the "binges" on consoles instead of companies...

When Dead or Alive: Ultimate was released, I went into Tecmo mode. I had just purchased my Xbox, so I quickly snagged up Ninja Gaiden, DOA3, DOAXVB, Fatal Frame and Fatal Frame II... I put in at least 15 hours on Ninja Gaiden Episode II (NES) alone, and I never really kicked the Ninja Gaiden deal. Go back to that at least once a week still (usually the Xbox version, playing through it for the 6th time now) ...I do love Tecmo.

I also went all Rare earlier this year, after they cancelled Kameo. Bought up all the Rare N64 games I didn't have, and played those non-stop, and managed to fall in love with Digger T. Rock on the NES all over again.

I'll go on a console binge before a company binge. Right now I'mm all about my PS1. But that always changes, thats the bonus of having a ton of games.

I'm a console binger myself. Right now it's the N64 and Genesis.

I don't tend to even think about what companies make the games I like. Only the niche ones like Nippon Ichi and their strat RPGs.

Capcom and Namco may as well be Nintendo or Sega. The large companies make so many games that you can't predict quality by the company name.

The only company I have ever done that with is the ever-so-awesome Konami. Konami always makes some of the coolest games ever. Castlevania is still my number one game series of all time. Silent Hill is my favorite horror series. I still have yet to beat a Gradius game, and I pretty much own them all. Even other titles like Shadow of Destiny and Zone of the Enders 2 (didn't like the first one) are a blast to play.

I guess I can say I might have gone on a slight Capcom binge once. Nothing but Street Fighter, Final Fight, and Resident Evil for a couple of weeks.

Yep. but not on purpose. I found myself playing nothing but Namco games once.

I've bought and played nothing but SNK MVS carts for the last two weeks. :)

Working Designs

/me whistles and walks away muttering something about owning 8 copies of the same game for different disc art pictures.

There's brands that I actively seek, like Working Designs, Agetec/A1, Renovation & SNK (for platforms other than Neo Geo), but I just let the titles trickle in. They'll all be mine eventually.

Yeah. I have ALL US Squaresoft releases.

I do wanna get every Japanese Hucard game that's from Namco, the white ones with the red bordering and has the PC Engine logo on the upper left.

I've gone on almost that excact gaming binge. I'm generally a big fan of Konami and I play their games on any system. I've played all the games you listed in a short time along with Axelay,Conta 3 and some more Cstlevanias. Actually never played Vandal Hearts though. Not trying to get off topic here but is it in 2d or 3d?

Not really a gaming binge, but I've been on single company buying binges. First it was genesis and the renovation published titles. And now, accidently, I'm down to the EA RPGs.

A Konami fan with a PS1 and you've never played Vandal Hearts? O_O O_O

Aww I'm just messin. It's like Final Fantasy Tactics with it's presentation. 2D sprite based characters in 3D polygonal environments. Things look a bit grittier when compared to FFT, but I like the art direction. It's unique. Oh yeah, theres also an excessive amount of blood showers when you kill people, like those old Japanese films.

lol yeah never played it. I do have a ps1 but I never really got into the system. I keep it around mainly for the two Castlevanias,MGS and maybe Einhander. Vandal Hearts sounds good though, i'll check it out next time I see a copy.

I can only recall one time that I did this and that is when I was seeking to find all of the games by Psygnosis for the Amiga. They had the coolest box art too.
