Credit to tenzor on CheapAssGamer.

EB is having is a sale that starts on the 15th and runs through the 31st of the month. It's not as nice as their last few major sales, but there are a few nice deals.

-50% off all NES, SNES, and Genesis games
-B2G1 on all PlayStation, N64, DC, and PC games (no current-gen stuff, unfortunately)

So if you've got an EB with a decent selection of stuff for the aforementioned systems that you've been waiting to get on sale, here's the chance. So far it's only B&M - for the time being, it's unknown whether or not this will be online as well, but I'm assuming it will be. I'll update this once I find out.

Here's the other deals:
EA Titles $14.99
Need For Speed Underground PS2/XB/GC
NBA Street Vol 2 PS2/XB/GC
Goldeneye Rogue Agent PS2/XB/GC
The Sims Urbz PS2/XB/GC

Darn, I just cleaned out the EB here of just about all the N64 titles I'd want. Maybe I can find a few more to get, though, and with the third free, maybe I'll go for some of the slightly more expensive ones.

Anyway, thanks for letting us know!

Damn, and my closest EB moved out of the mall and into the even higher traffic area of town just a week or so ago. Either way, I may venture out for Bard's Tale at $9.99. Thanks for the heads up!

Hot damn, marked it on my calendar and everything.

There's an EB right up the road with a good selection of NES, SNES, and Genesis games.

:rocker: :drinking:

I normally avoid EB, but I'll give em a shot.

That $10 Bard's Tale is worth it, for those RPGers out there who haven't tried it.

good. i didn't feel like paying 5.50 each for deathbots and silent assault. btw, does anyone have a review/pics of silent assault? gamefaqs has jackshit reguarding the title, and i wanted to know what the gameplay was like, since its only a r4.

the only retro titles my eb has left are over priced N64 games, but maybe with my edge card and b2g1 I can get some good deals.
Also $10 for bards tale and $35 for psychonaughts sees like a good deal. Thanks for the heads up!
Also my EB has a copy of Suikoden for $40, with my edge card its $36 complete, think thats worth it?

Cool deals. I'll probably stop at one sometime to pick up some NES games.

Ove of these days I'm gonna find an EB that carries anything older than the gamecube.....

Currently, I've been to the only 3 EBGames stores within 50 miles of me, and all of them could fit inside of my gaming room downstairs (literally)

Good news to me! Although I can bet you that Alundra and that overpriced Suikoden will be gone before then... Oh well, two of my local EBgames have a decent stock of NES - N64/PS1 games. I'm assuming this sale is the beginning of EB abandoning all their classic games in order to conform to Gamestop's style by next year...

I asked my local EB about this sale, and of course they didn't know anything about it. Granted the manager wasn't there, just a couple of younger kids, so I just figure they haven't been informed of it. But they did say that I probably wouldn't be able to use my EDGE card to get 60% of their NES games. They have a copy of Megaman 5 & 6 for $25 each. I'm tempted to pick them up, if they're still there. I'm also wondering if these prices are going to be good online as well. Now that would be a sale.

The EB by me doesn't carry any older games (a few PS1 and DC games) but some of those deals on the current-gen stuff are pretty good (The Getaway: Black Monday for free?).

Thanks for the heads-up.

My credit cards have yet to recover from the Game Crazy retro sale!!! Locally I wouldn't have too much to find (some Dreamcast maybe, definitely PS1). If this is online....I can't imagine how many games I would buy...hopefully they'll sell out quickly...else I might have to go into bankruptcy...

Thanks for the news...
Trebuken...

Heck - I'm on vaction starting the 15th, :( I'm in trouble...

Ditto. I was just at mine today and the guy there (didn't appear to be a manager) didn't know jackshit about it. Even looked it up on their computer to no avail.

How could they be kept in the dark about a sale that's supposed to last over 2 weeks? x_x

Anyways, when I was there tonight, some kid had traded in:

Super Metroid
Super Mario Kart
Super Mario World
Super Mario All Stars
Donkey Kong Country
Zombies Ate My Neighbors
Ghoul Patrol
Star Fox

All complete with boxes and manuals. The boxes were in good shape for the most part. Oh, and a bunch of loose SNES carts. Most of the games ran about $3.99- $9.99. I might make another run for them this Friday. 8-)

The EBGames to the west of me doesn't carry anymore games Pre-PS1. :/

Still, i'll ask the manager if there are still any games Pre-PS1 in the back room.

I'll have to find that one to the east.

Bumping this since the sale starts today. Doesn't seem to be completely in effect online though, but according to various posts on CAG, some of the current-gen games are at the sale price when you add them to the cart.

the code for the B2G1 is pp2get1.
That code didn't work for me. And do you have a code for the 50% off?

Thanks for letting me know, it's been removed from my previous post. And unfortunately, I don't have a code for the 50% off.

My local EBs just carry new stuff, though there's one down the road that carries the odd DC title or three...

Anyway, figured I'd stop by to improve my PS2 library... picked up GTA 3 (I bought this close to launch but it disappeared when I moved) and NHL Hitz 2003 (I already have 2002 and Pro, but 2002 is old and clunky and Pro is a bit too "fluid/realistic" for maximum 2P fun) for a song. A poorly written song at that.

One minor annoyance is that while the case for GTA3 was the original, the disc was one of those "greatest hits" dealies. I'm sure when I'm collecting PS2 in a couple years, this will be annoying me to no end until I finally find another copy.

Anyhow, I then stopped by a local Game*Stop and picked up TTT (Tekken Tag Tournament) and Aqua Aqua for CHEEP.

Not terrible, got some games the collector in me wanted, though none of them have kept me occupied for more than 30 minutes each. Ah well, there's always CvS2 for Dreamcast. :P

Actually stopped into my local EB Games today by chance before I read this thread. I found a SNES copy of Tetris Attack SEALED whether it was factory or re-sealed Im not too sure of. It cost me a little over $3.
