Hey guys i've had a rather boring day so i made up some mock Blue Box (late release) game covers for the games that were unreleased in PAL that DID get released in NTSC. It's nothing special but if anyone wants to see them then let me know. Is there a site that lets you display pics?

I'm starting to worry about you and your blue-box fetish, Gary ;)
(btw, a few of those had non-blue-box PAL releases)

It's actually a proper disease called Blue Box disease. Im taking medication for it. Hehe.
But yeah, had a pretty boring night as you can see. And i know they came in black boxes (ie Fatal Fury 2) but they look better this way!
HEHE

No way the original Megadrive boxes are much better, but hey you have medical help now so that will let you see the true in the end.
Only problem with the old-boxes is that some don't have any product number. But that is a disease I have called Product Number Obsession, I am currently on the waitinglist to get help for that.

The original attraction with the blue box games was that i owned all the black box ones i wanted as a kid and now i want the blue ones BUT the added attraction is the rarity of many of them far exceeds that of the black box ones. IN FACT not ten minutes ago did i find YET ANOTHER blue box release that i think may SURPRISE a few people.....i.e. Anagrama.

Yeah that's annoying, but it's generally possible to work out what the product number "should" be from the second half of the barcode ;)
Intruiged by your new discovery Gary - what's that one?

Didn't noticed that yet myself, but you are right the four numbers in the middle are the same as the product number.
Thanks.

Product numbers are OK, it's the part numbers that are a pain in the backside. Some third party games have them (e.g. Cannon Fodder), some don't (e.g. Cutthroat Island).
For some odd reason Cutthroat has "#83020" on the back of the inlay, which bears no relation to the product number (T-81516-50). Still haven't figured that one out :hmm:
