Just got an XBOX for my birthday! What games should I get??

WOW!

Finally caught up with technology.. :-D

I must say, when I was a kid, I used to always be at the front of gaming, and then moved to play the greatest games on the PC.. but I guess with age, gaming is put on the back burners.. (Either that, or because I work in IT.. I get enough of PC's at work).

About 2 years ago I started collecting NES games, and now own:

- 575+ NES games and 20+ NES accessories
- SNES + 2 dozen games (never owned this in my childhood)
- Intellivision
- Sega genesis (first time I got it was 1.5 years ago)
- Sega Nomad
- Nintendo GBA + 15 games (YEAH.. now we're talking about newer stuff)
- PSOne + LCD screen (Both only 6 months old!) :o

What can I say.. this is one 27 year old fogie.. :)

Well.. NOT ANYMORE!!! My brother just baught me an XBOX!! And for the first time, I'm actually gonna be buying games to play rather than just collect (even though I'm almost at the end of Golden Sun on the GBA and just started play FFVII on the PSOne).

So.. what should I get??

So far my faves are:

Halo
Oddworld
Splinter Cell
Gotham Street Racing

If I were starting out I'd nab Oddworld and GSR first - because they will be dirt cheap (being old enough). Halo is just as old but I haven't seen the price drop anywhere yet.

If you are into sports games the only direct comparison I've done is in golf: Tiger Woods 2003 gets the nod *easily* over Outlaw Golf.
