I've had my Saturn since its release day waaaay back in 95 and never experienced this problem...it refuses to play 3 certain imports! I have played so many domestic and imports on it without a hitch until now. It refuses to play Lunar 1 and 2 and Tengai Makyo IV, but plays several other imports and domestic titles perfectly fine. I have even played those titles time and time and time again with no problems up until now. Hmmm, I just dont know how to get that damn import-unfriendly gremlin outta there. I wanted to go through Tengai again :( Any thoughts on my peculiar predicament?

Are those your only imports? Maybe your convertor (if that's what you're using) is busted. The only other thing I can think is the convertor isn't letting you play multi-disked games. Though Lunar is a single disk and you were able to play them before.

Damned Gremlins! Maybe if you reupholster it, it'll let you play import items?

I find that if you clean the laser gently with a 50/50 mix of rubbing alcohol and water, often times that will clear up problems like that. I had a similar problem with my Saturn. It wouldn't play Albert Odyssey or Shining Wisdom. Everything else worked fine. Turns out it was just that the laser eye was dirty.

Ah, yes, the 4M Action Replay Plus.

It is delicious.

Yeah, if you can solder. Otherwise, the 4M plus plays all but three games I know of. And, actually, I hear they might've fixed two of them.

The three games that you are having problems with, were they all stored in the same place together? There's always the slim chance that the CD's could have become damaged from heat etc.

As for the little debate about import methods that is sidetracking this thread - I have an AR card but I still hardmod all my Saturns. Why? Because it's so damn easy you might as well do it anyway, it also doubles the system's value for resale! "If you can solder" is the stupidest excuse in the book, EVERYONE should have basic soldering skills since EVERYONE that would be online here uses regular household appliances every day - and they usally break down with easily fixable problems. Soldering is the most basic of electrical repair techniques and it allows so much to be done in day to day repairs especially given how simple it is to learn. Putting a region switch in a Saturn is probably the easiest soldering involved mod ever and with basic soldering skills and a little patience anyone should be able to install one.

Now I said I have an AR card and I'll explain why. First off I really only use it as a 4M RAM expansion, a straight 4M card was more expensive than my AR at the time so I figured I'd pick up the AR instead. I also use it as a file cabinet / backup for my Saturn saves.
