View Full Version : Any N64 games play flawlessly on the XBOX?

I actually have 4 emulation on XBOX related questions. Here they go:

1. Do any N64 games run just about perfect on the XBOX? (The few that I've tried have some minor but slightly significant problems that detract from the gameplay)

2. Is there a way to get Sega CD games onto the hard drive, and play them from the hard drive with NeoGenesis?

3. Is there a way to play TG-16 CD, Super CD or Arcade CD games on the XBOX? If so, is there a way to put them on the hard drive and play them from there?

4. Is there a way to play Neo-Geo CD games on the XBOX? If so, is there a way to put them on the hard drive and play them from there?

Bonus Question:

If my XBOX won't play my original Sega CD games, do I need to copy my Sega CD games to some other form of media to get them to play?

Sorry to ask so many damn questions, but enquiring minds (namely mine!) want to know!

1. theres actually alot of games that work perfect. heres a list... http://forums.xbox-scene.com/index.php?act=ST&f=17&t=63669

2. You must run them in a cd form, like the actual game or a copy of the game.

3. No

4. Yes and yes.

bonus - why doesnt your xbox play originals? mine does. try copying them to a cdr or even a dvd.

unbroken, I believe your answer to #3 is only half right. I have played Dracula X, a TG-16 SCD game, on HugoX, so I know that TG-16 CD games can be played on the XBOX (and quite well, at least in the case of Dracula X). However, as with SegaCD games, you must run the game from CD media (either burned copy or an original).

When I put a Sega CD in, I get an error message. It says:

Could not read TOC from CD - aborting

press B

So, there isn't any way whatsoever to play Sega CD games from the hard drive?

It doesn't play super cds? I'm fairly sure that Dracula X is a Super CD game...it even has a big "Super CD ROM" logo on the front cover. My experience with playing TG-16 CD games on the XBOX is limited to Dracula X, so someone else here will know more than I do about the subject...
