What do you think are the better Science Fiction games?

My personal fave is Colony wars III: Red Sun. I cannot get enough of that game, and bears all the markings of a classic science fiction story - I'm surprised they haven't adapted it as a film franchise or Tv series...

Resident Evil is also another great Sci-Fi franchise, although I feel it lost something after the original. And now with all the plot twists and turns brought in for Code: Veronica and Resi IV... It's just boardering on the silly side of fiction now, and getting a little out of hand...

The Resi spin-off's are also ruining the franchise somewhat.

The two sequels to Star Wars: Rogue Squadron on the GameCube are also classics. Who can't agree that the very first level of Rogue Leader isn't a classic? It's a level that's been done many times before in Star Wars games in the past, but this must be the definitive version! You can't get much closer to the actual film than that!

House Of The Dead II is just an arcade classic! Shame the film didn't do it justice - They should have made it like an old 30's snatcher flick, instead of some teen slasher.

Splatterhouse III - Now if any game ever deserved a modern day sequel, it's this! A 3D version would be immense! Perhaps a pre-cursor to Resident Evil, this is just a great game! Reminds me of a cross between Hellraider and Luigi's Mansion a bit though...

Legacy Of Kain series - I love the series, and hope they go on to make a sixth game which continues the storyline! And how cool would a film revolving around the Blood Omen or Soul Reaver games be!!! I'd cast Johnny Depp as Raziel straight off... Not too sure who'd make a great Kain though...

What other classic Sci-Fi games are there that i've missed?

I would have to go back in time and pick the Sierra Space Quest series. They were tough games to play, the puzzles wre not always easy. But c'mon, Roger Wilco is Da Man! The games were all around fun to play as they were more geared to humor than sincerity. One would never get bored with the numerous games within the game. Those beeps and blips that poured out of my PC speaker rocked the house! For the time the graphics were stunning. I have played them all and finished them all. But not without the help of the cheat books. Anyone remember those? You had to have the "Special" pen you used to ink out an invisible area, then, the answer to the puzzle would appear. Ahh, the good ol' days.

Wouldn't those be considered horror games rather than sci-fi? I think sci-fi, I usually think spaceships, not vampires (just to use an example). And yes, I know the two have mixed before, but that's beside the point.

On another note, though. I want a Splatterhouse sequel. BADLY. It had just better be good...
