Well, I just ended up stumbling upon a little bit of information for an upcoming PS3's alleged launch title called "AREA 51: The Breach".
From what I've heard, this is the official title of the game, but for a time, it was going to be called "AREA 52". Luckily, they chose to continue using the original "AREA 51" title, but simply add to it.
Below is a .jpeg file of the description. There isn't a release date, but at least you now get to know what they've got in mind for the next "AREA 51" game.
Enjoy!

Yeah, they weren't kidding about the whole "some secrets cannot be kept" tag line.
I'm sure as hell divulging as many secrets about this game as I can! LOL

Is this a "for real" thing or is it a "rumor" thing? The only reason I ask is because the price. I would think that an official press release would say "MSRP" or something. And also, if this turns out to be legit, it will be very interesting as nextgen game prices have been wildly debated -- many people have suggested that advanced video and audio research and development will mean $60-$70 price tags on new releases.

A 'sandbox' FPS... I'm intrested...
BTW, I dont really think this can be real, because there is no way they could ALREADY have an ESRB rating, they might be GOING for an M rating, but that shouldn't be the end-all for what it will be.

Well, it's most likely to be real because I did receive this information from a reputable source. Can't tell you who it is, simply because they'd get in trouble for it.
Let's just say that this person works quite closely with the marketing division of Midway Entertainment. ;)

I see your point about the ESRB rating, but keep in mind that when things actually go to get pressed/printed, such as the box cover artwork, it all depends on whether or not the game has received an 'early' rating by the ESRB.
Plus, since this information is directly from a marketing department type, this is 'eyes only' stuff for prospective retailers and such.
Us mere mortals (me, for example) who unfortunately don't work at game retail shops or distribution/manufacturing companies love seeing stuff like this.
Besides, I have a feeling that it's going to get an "M" rating anyway, just like the PS2 and XBox AREA 51 games did.

lol theyd have to be making some godamned good games for me to pay 60 70$ for. Gonna be alot of companies die at that rate.
I love this little tidbit from PC GAMER:

Area 52 Why would they name it that? Everyone knows the aliens, UFO's and Sothy are all kept at Area 51. Lets not turn this into a fanatsy game! It's a gun game so the $70 price tag probably includes a light gun otherwise that would be way overpriced. This is all a rumored title until they make an official press release anyways. :)

If it would be a sequal to the arcade game, I would be more excited and even then not that much. The Atari Games Area 51 was fun (but there are much better gunshooters), especially Site 4.
