For all the PAL Megadrive dudes...I won something on eBay that may intrigue one or two of you. It seems to be another one of those Blue Box releases that got a more easier to find Black Box release as well.
It appears to be a portuguese release as well since it has the SEGA Portugal sticker that most Portuguese games got.
Have a look for yourselves.

Look slightly bootleggy to me (the manual looks photocopied from the Japanese cover, and the cart label is rather poorly-designed...). But then, all blue-box stuff looks bootleggy to me...
"European PAL version of the game, NO converter is needed (cart is PAL) but game text is in Japanese only."
Unless the official French version is like that as well, I'm thinking it's bootleg for sure.
More info when you recieve it would be nice. :) Nice find regardless.

The French cart is the same as that one. Not sure about the manual off-hand, but I'm sure Gary can clue us in when he gets it.
I know there's a few strange Portugese Master System reissues with different covers, so it's not too hard to believe that they had some unique MD stuff aswell. Nice grab!

Time will tell if it's a legit copy or a homemade bootleg made with a cheap loose cart from eBay France.
Hope for Gary it's real.

The cart looks a little bootleggy, but the manual doesn't surprise me. Plenty of MD games had B&W manuals (Japanese cover, yes, but still). As for the case, they actualy kept the Bandai logo all over it and the case actually has a barcode...things not too common for a bootleg to do.
EDIT:

True, never thought of a "homemade" bootleg.

I don't really care either way. I've spent crazy amounts of money on pieces of utter crap such as Battle Frenzy and Bloodshot on the PAL MCD. Jesus i even spent £36 on Separation Anxiety on the PAL MD!!!!
It looks real enough for me and like ive said ive had a mate from portugal tell me that many SEGA Portugal stuff has this kinda make up. Plus Howlin-Murdoch has a copy of this very game minus manual.
