I picked this up yesterday having heard it was decent, but when I put it in I was amazed. It's easily one of the funnest, most unique arcade sports titles I've ever encountered.

The game features special moves, finishing moves in fights, and hysterical color commentary. In addition to those things, it also has a 12 second shot clock instead of a game clock. The games are played to 5, and they can last anywhere from 5-15 minutes depending on the skills of the teams and players. You can unlock NHL teams through the challenge mode or play quick arcade matches. Other than that, it plays similarly to the NHL Hitz series, as a fast paced, hard hitting hockey title.

Most places will sell this for no more than 5 bucks, and it's well worth the price. Is anyone else a fan of this highly underrated title?

I picked this one up too, but it was after playing NHL Hitz, and Hitz owns all. it was tough to get adjusted to Rock the Rink. It tends to be TOO over the top, and in the process just makes everything feel sloppy.

I picked this one up at a Gamestop a couple years ago for $8. Fun game, like the unique shots.

It's also worth noting that the players (on both teams, not just the winner) do a line dance at the end of every game. LOL
