how do you get them off? i try to peel them off but then it leaves that sticky residue. advice for cleaning them? yes, as soon as i saw this part of the site i knew i had to ask. also, any tips on how to get permanent marker off cartridges would be appreciated as well. thank you!

Use some Googon on that sticker residue.
I actually reccomend against taking the price tags off, Unless you are going to Sell/Trade the item.
And as for permanent marker, That can be tricky. But i use Q-Tips & Rubbing alcohol when i come across that. Sometimes the marker won't come off, though..

Well, it shows what they cost way back when. Imagine 10-20 years from now- Kids saying "Ha! Playstation 2 games could NEVER have cost $50! And PS2 units Never ever cost $350!"
See, it shows a record.

Well, If there was already Sticker Residue on Nes & SNES Games, use some googon on the game. Just don't get it on the label...

You can use it safely in the label if you do not push hard. A soft passage is enough to clean well the label.
But I found something awful last day:
I got a N64 cart with some sort of Blockbuster Security Sticker on it. All my techniques failed, because it is LARGER than the actual cart label, so you cannot soap it just a little- you will take the original label at first.
Is there any safe way of removing this shitty sticker or will I have to always read "Property of Blockbuster" on it? x_x

I have something like this. It seems extremely difficult to remove the sticker, but I noticed that goo gone DID take the ink off the sticker, so that it is completely transparant.

If the sticker is on the label, remove it carfully. Do not use any product. If you do, it will fade the label. As for Marker. I use the MR. CLean Magic Erasers. They can remove the marker. But if it is used on marker that is on the label, use caution. It end up destroying the label. I have about 29 or so Super Mario Bros./Duck Hunt carts for NES that had marker and/or stickers in them. I practiced with these. if you use the Magic eraser on a label, use it lightly(apply little or no force). On the Carts themselves, Press as hard as you want.

yeah, basically with labels youre screwed. sega saturn cases arent like that though, there must be a clear coating on them or something, because i pressed very hard on them while cleaning residue off and there was no problem.
i use eucalyptus oil or tea tree oil to clean my games, gives everything a nice smell too. (well the eucalyptus does)
