Yeah Xbox is getting Spawn "from comic books", and PS2 is getting Heihachi from Tekken.

Heihachi was obviously easy to secure, but I wonder how they worked out getting Link, and Spawn, interesting.

Wow, that pretty fucking cool. Excuse my language, but that's some motherfucking cool shit. I think I'll have to pick up the either the PS2 or GC version when it first comes out, and get the other when the price goes down. Xbox smells, so I have no need for that version until the console goes down to 50 bucks. LOL

Link: They worked out a deal with Nintendo.

Spawn: They paid McFarlane for the rights to use Spawn.

Where's the mystery? :P

I'd say that Namco's using Spawn because McFarlane designed Necrid, a new character who will appear in all of the home versions of Soul Calibur II.

When I first saw this a couple of days ago, I thought it was a hoax. But, I traced the image back to Namco.jp and was delighted to be proven wrong. Damn, if there was EVER a selling point for the GC version of this game, you're looking at it.
