Yeah, I've got it.
I don't think it was put out in low production though... I see it everywhere.

Edit - It IS in the rarity guide... but under: "Bio F.R.E.A.K.S."

I have it, and I have seen it EVERYWHERE. Well, I at least used to see it everywhere...The poor N64 does not get a ton of love... :(

Yea, it didn't do very well :(

It was a GREAT game though. It just was too little, too late from midway. It was their first venture into 3d and came out a little after the "blood and guts are COOL" era of fighters. Its actually a really fun game. It incorperated the idea of "freedom" by being able to fly around the arena instead of being stuck to the ground and only being able to jump. The controls (even for arcade) were really tricky and kinda had a hard learning curve for a fast paced fighter.

I remember playing that back in the day and yeah not very popular. Only thing I remember was that you could glide around while you fight, pretty cool 8-)

For a small game-design company in Utah (I do part time graphics for them, nothing in-game, mostly callingcards and website graphics).

They mostly design/translate gaming engines to the new consoles, but in the past they helped design games like Redline (PC) and Bio Freaks (arcade/N64/psx).
Lol, I missed the part where you said the name of the company :P I'm sure I could look it up, but it wouldn't be the same as hearing it straight from the source! :D

I rented it, and I didn't particularly like it. I thought that the whole gimmic of 'Look, you can cut their arms off!' was quite lame.

When a ex girlfriend and her mom got me a PlayStation for Xmas (just after its drop to 99 bucks) her aunt got me Bio Freaks and some other games. I played it a bit then and havn't touched it again since. I really dont think i'm missing out on anything.

I also see Bio Freaks everywhere, but maybe, living in Salt Lake, there's a lot that came here locally? (Lame reason, I know)

I also work full time for a hotel and hopefully will pick up a 3rd job working for a small mall-based classic game company here in a few weeks when my friend opens up his shop in another mall here in town.

Would this, by any chance, be a new Game Peddler location?

LOL LOL No, my friend owns a place called "Mario's" in the Provo Towne Place mall. He is expanding to the University mall (about 5 miles north) and said that he needs help. I actually got to know him when I worked at EBgames. We helped each other out and became friends.

Did their used to be a Mario's in the Cottonwood mall up here? I know there was a store there that dealt in used games (besides GameStop and Game Pedler) but it has since closed down. The name "Mario's" just sounds really familiar to me.

Anybody have the game Biofreaks in their collection?

Yep..N64 and it may be still sealed in it's box....
On my N64 shelf I have games behind the ones in the front so I'm pretty sure it's back there..(this game hidden for a reason.)

..I have two copies of it for the PS..one I got for free so I just kept it though I don't like the game itself..

I don't think so. I will ask him tomorrow if hes in. You should drive down to provo and check it out. Its a really nice shop (well decorated) and has quite a few classic games. I hope the new shop looks as good as this one.

Sigh...
I REALLY didnt like War Gods.. You have to give bio freaks SOME credit though.. you can take limbs off and fly around. The fact that you have a gun is kinda cool too right?

sigh..
guess not.. Its a lot better in the arcade.. if you dont have to pay for it... :/

Yeah, I've got it. This game being anything even remotely rare is news to me.

You have the arcade cab (which is the same game) under "Bio Freaks" not Bio F.R.E.A.K.S. So when I typed in "Bio Freaks" and saw JUST the arcade version, I thought that you didn't have the console versions listed..

Man.. you guys love me here in the forums.. When I go to CGE im not going to tell anybody who I am in fear of being jumped in the bathroom or beat over the head with an old 2600.

If anybody's interested, there's some fan art of the game in the letters section of the eXtreme-G cover issue of Nintendo Power from 1997 (the one with a very complete walkthrough for the first three episodes of Mischief Makers, a very decent issue overall!).

I don't dislike you felix. I *sigh* because all I had to do was click the N64 system and type "bio" in the title. I don't know any way to make the search engine easier.

I'll definitely put it on my list of places to check out next time I'm down there.
