I saw a cart today for the life of me I couldn't identify. on the label it Arcadia 2..now I don't remember an arcadia 2, but anyway the cart was hot orange and the game was something like battle Attack and was a skeet shooting game....the cart was slightly smaller than an atari 2600 cart, but by the design and color on the label it looked like something from the early 90's....any suggestions?

Yeah, my brother's kid has one of those. It's a target practice game that projects images on the wall. You earn points by shooting them with the gun that's included with the system.

So is it safe to infer that you don't know about the Emerson Arcadia? 8-)

It looks like if you find one that's not orange, it might burn your house down...

Yeah, the system is fairly recent (and I really wouldn't even consider it a game system, but that's open to debate). It didn't work too well for me, but my nephew seemed to enjoy it.

There are other things like it, such as Play TV Baseball, and i think either football and soccer. Is Arcadia the one where you shoot the ducks on the wall?

Yep, that's the one.

You could also buy additional cartridges and overlays for shooting Asteroids or Jet Planes.

They're not really that similar, as the Play TV games actually use the TV, not projected light.

There are a bunch of Play TV units:

Baseball
Opus
Buckmasters
Baseball 2
Soccer
Card Night
Snowboarding
Construction Jr [more like a toy/simulator?]
(Bass?) Fishing

There are more of them in Japan, and cooler ones too -- there's a gun one, a samurai sword one, and a hammer one. There's even a pachinko one I think.

Anyone got a source for these? Toys R Us doesn't have any, though they have systems...

The cart for shooting meteors (and a space shuttle and space station) is called Meteor Attack. I have one boxed, but I don't yet have the system.
BTW. There are two cartridge type objects in the box: One is the piece that holds the images that project onto the wall and one that really does look more like a traditional game cartridge which I think is used for the "game" logic.
