I just won an xbox game from nesquik...

SWEEEEEEET. I just won Forza for XBOX. It was from the nesquik chocolate milk. They give you a code to enter. I entered it just now and won. Delivery is 6-8 weeks so it will be a delayed gratification. Still cool. It was one of 20,000 second prizes. First prize is an XBOX. Grand prize is a gameriot house party ($25,000 prize). That would have been really SWEET. But i'll take it.

I had the container in my car for days. I always forgot iit in the car. I could'nt even see the code (its inside the plastic bottle). Had to wash it out. Then you have to register. Wasn't even going to bother. Then figured why not, did half the work already.

Never won a video game before. SWEEEEEET.

Now the sad part. My XBOX has issues with sound. :angry: If you play any game for too long the sound garbles then fades out. I contacted customer support. Useless. It was basically "is it under warranty?". No. Then $$$ to send and fix. I seriously never had a console fail me like this. It isn't a heat issue (well ventillated area), and dust is minimal (clean area). Have'nt been big on my XBOX since.

A long time ago (really long time) i won the C64 game "Deactivators" in some competition. Can't even remember what exactly i had to do for it, but i do recall that suddenly the mailman showed up with this free game for me :D

I got rid of most of my C64 stuff, but i kept that game. For some reason i just can't let go of it...

Yes sir. Back in Fall '02 I entered a code from a box of Froot Loops I believe and won a copy of Treasure Planet for ps2. It just happened to come in before Christmas and I just happened to walk into Wal Mart with it and they just happened to take it back. Since it was a freebie the UPC code on the back was "punched" (much like many CD's you'll see in the used bins at your used record stores). The lady says "Huh, that's weird..." and I reply "Oh look, there's a UPC on the top." Sorry, I usually condone that kind of behavior but I was broke and had to get my grandparents something for Christmas, so they got a giftcard from Wal Mart.

Other notable "wins":

- Won $20 off a Pepsi bottle sometime back in the late 90's.

- Won a contest for a local television that chose my essay I wrote on what I'd do if I were president. Had a pizza party for the whole class and got to play in front of a green screen.

- Won 2 pairs of 7up boxer shorts, which I sadly have no more. One got ripped up after a few years of wear and the other, well, I shit in them when I had diarrhea once.

Well, i didn't Win any games, but i Did win a free Burger from Burgerking once. Wasn't too long back, It was a "scratch the correct area and win something" Contest. I COULD have won a Star wars videogame, Though.

Never collected on the burger (Burger kings have closed down around here..) I still have the French fry holder..

I won a free watch from Honeycomb cereal once. That was back in the days when if you won something "YOU JUST WON IT" It was like 1 out of 1000 boxes had the watch in it so it was pretty cool.

Since the topic is moving to non video game prizes as well:

-I won a Whirlpool Microwave last year as a second prize in a Safeway contest where you were entered to win each time you used your Safeway club card.

-I won a Fred Meyer coloring contest once when I was a kid. I remember that my work was pretty crappy (Back then, I always scribbled like it was going out of style), so I guess they just picked some lucky kid at random for these things. The prize was a $25 gift certificate. I remember getting a couple Hot Wheel Cars, a couple Ninja Turtles and clothing of some sort (can't remember what).

-I won a couple of Gatorade CD holders several years back. Coincedentally, I bought the two bottles with the winning caps at the exact same time, and they were the only two I bought. I still have them - while they don't have enough capacity to make them worth taking on the go (they hold 6 CDs each), they're great for storing CDs I don't have a case for.

-A couple years back, I won a sampler from Roadrunner Records for taking a survey on their site. It featured songs from a good chunk of their roster at the time (Fear Factory, Killswitch Engage, Soulfly, etc).

I won two 15 minute phone cards off the back of King Cobra 40 oz. labels. The odds were stated as being something like 1-4 win, but Ill be damned if me and some of the guys didnt drink like 30 in one night and I got the only 2 winners out of all of them. Sadly I dont ever recall getting to use my free phone minutes :/

Other than that I suck at winning stuff (got a couple tickets to Monday night RAW back in its hay-day off of the radio), but that is seriously the biggest thing I have ever won...

Well, I dont think I've ever won anything gaming related, but nice job! The coolest thing I've ever won on one of those promotions was when Surge back in the day ran a contest. I won $20, and on a seperate cap, a cd sampler.
Another cool thing is that I won a Pilsbury messanger bag and cd sampler with stickers. I dont even remember how I got into the contest, but it was the 2nd prize, so thats cool. I threw the bag out after like, 5 months because it ripped when I was using it. Go figure =P

There was a radio station for kids in the Twin Cities when I was younger (I don't think it's still around), and I won a tour of their studio because I was able to call in and spell the word 'heiroglyphics'. That probably doesn't sound that impressive, but I was around 8 at the time. I'm fairly confident most 8 year olds can't do that. :)

I'm pretty sure that's all I've won by chance, sadly.

I almost never win anything. Normaly I just get the 'free food' thingies you see with fast food, Coke, etc.

The biggest thing I've won in my life was a old boombox as a kid in the early 80's. My folks still have it and last I checked it still works, despite being very beat up. LOL

I play scratch tickets quite a bit, the biggest I've won from those was $20.
