The Behemoth debuted a preview of their next title at Comi-con today, tentivally called "The Behemoth's Next Game". Its in the same spirit of Alien Hominid, bringing the games of old into the new generation. In this case, it recalls old four player arcade games, where you control a different colored knight as you set out to rescue the princess from hordes of enemies. Though it is still in a very early stage, it looks very promising and appears to be destined to become another sleeper hit.

Is anyone else stoked about this?
yes, very much so. I love that these people are making such an effort to keep these kinds of games (we all love) alive even without the support of the industry.

If they added Action RPG elements to this and maybe online multiplayer, this would be my dream game.
Side note, I think it'd be awesome if they actually named the game "Behemoth's Next Game".

There are Action RPG elements, and they WANT to get the game online, but thats still being discussed. Its supposed to be out for all three systems.

Oh my god. This could be the greatest game ever. After just playing through Hominid this week for the first time, I couldn't be more excited, especially since I'm still on the buzz from the previous game.

I see no action RPG elements. I hate when people assume that an action RPG and a hack n' slash are the same thing. It really does bother me.

Looks very cool, I'll pick it up for sure. I'm a big fan of Hominid, and also really appreciate the effort these guys are making, and the love they put into their games.
I hope it does have online, this would be the perfect game for it.

Add me to the list of the excited. I picked up Alien Hominid this past week and it's a truly excellent game with a unique style all its' own (though the gameplay clearly owes a lot to Contra and Metal Slug). I really respect the production values these guys have and their mindset as far as developing everything themselves with their own money with an 'industry-be-damned' frame of mind.

I don't know how many truely independent game developers there out there but The Behemoth group is doing its job to the fullest. I like buying independent music and I haven't really seen it yet in video games untill The Behemoth group came out (maybe its there and I don't know it). I love to support a game developer who actually really benifits from my purchase and who cares enough about a genre that I do to actually spend their own money on it. I will be picking up this game for sure.

Looks good, and they're putting it on the GC! Although, if they wan't online play, it should be a no brainer to also create an Xbox version...

Did Hominid ever come out on the Xbox? I know there were rumors that it would...

Alien Hominid came out on the Xbox in Europe. As far as I know, there are no plans for a US Xbox release.
