Went to the flea first today and I saw quite a bunch of games (including boxed 2600 games which you won't find that often around here ;) but none of it was very interesting and usually rather expensive. I got myself the Final Fantasy VII though for €5. Afterwards I went to a department store where I grabbed Killer 7, I didn't even know it was out yet in Europe. It was the only copy they had lying around ^^ And finally I went into EB where I found N2O. Thanks for reading this unnecessary story :D

I won a power lords because someone spelled it Ppwer lords:

Ppwer Lords! and Turtles (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=8202160627&rd=1&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWN%3AIT&rd=1)

I was just looking to get turtles until I noticed the typo. I got this lot in 2 days ago, game and instruction manual in 10/10 perfect condition for both turtles and power lords (and the other games)

And I just got this lot in yesterday:

Video Jogger and Video Reflex (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=8203333491&ssPageName=STRK:MEWN:IT)

I actually put 169.69 as a joke bid like 25 minutes before the auction ended thinking it would go much higher, I didn't expect to actually WIN it. Ya, it's a bit high, but the 2 games sold for $130 each recently, and when you break it down, that $3 per cart for the lot right there.

Edit - BTW If anyone has keyboard creations, amok, or atlantis for the O2 system available for trade, please PM me!

I found today (at the not so local game shop....same ppl who own it as the one in town but this one is across the state line and about a 30-40 min drive...well worth it most times!):

A Sega Saturn Model 2 (they had both a Model 1 and Model 2) for $29.95 (more than what it's worth but I WANTED it!) which included power cord, a/v cable and a Model 1 controller.

Street Fighter The Movie (Saturn) for $6.95. I always liked this game when I played it.

Astal (Saturn) for $6.95. Quirky looking little game so I decided to give it a try.

They had a whole bunch of games there (including Daytona USA Championship Edition amongst a bunch of sports titles) but I'll have to go back when I have more money...I was lucky to get the Saturn!!!!!!

P.S. I was SO tempted to make this a separate thread and then I remembered that was a BIG no-no...and in bad taste...so here it is in the finds section.

today i went into GAME to purchase an old style GBA (just wanted a cheapo one to mess around with during my lunch break, instead of going home to pick one of mine up)

they had a box of them for £19.97, but i saw one labeled at £9.97 so i asked for that one, turned out the wrong sticker had been put on as the receipt says ghost recon ps2 used lol

anyways decided i needed a game and they had metroid fusion used no box or book for £9.97 or new boxed mint with book for £9.99 so i chose the new one, when he scanned it through it come up with multi-buy discount, deducting £8 from the total price, total spent on that purchase £11.96

then i decided later i wanted GBA contra, it was unboxed for £14.97 but i said it seemed quite expensive so i asked for a discount, got it for £7 :D

Been kinda MIA from the boards lately (I got a new job, my wife got a new job, selling our house, buying a new house, moving 250+ miles...that sorta thing), but found enough time to cruise into an EB Games store near where I'll be living.

Got there just in time to see a lady bring in her soon-to-be ex-husband's large video game collection for cash. I thought for a minute "damn, that's harsh." Then I realized "gee, sucks to be him" and promptly bought (all complete SNES games):

Adventures of Dr. Franken - $1.50
Mary Shelley's Frankenstein - $0.80
Magic Sword - $1.50
Actraiser 2 - $2.40
Skulljager - $1.50

They were still pricing his Dreamcast and NES games when I left. I'll be going back tomorrow for sure and picking up what the EB employees don't nab.

Flea market...Nothing Special....(Too Hot)

I went with the soul intention of buying game stuff for resale..So I really didn't look for anything my own collection.
Didn't go through all the piles of PS/SNES and NES games..

What I bought:

Two NES Systems with everything
SNES System with everything
$50.00 for all it..(after a large argument about power using Any power supplies for them=hiim)Whew!! I blew my top)
Loose Zapper $1.00

Airsoft Gun $6.00

Dr Mario $4.00 NES with Book and clear case(because I gave my copy away for free(to the nice lady) with my last NES Ebay sale..

Grand Champion Racing TV Game..(plugs into TV)$3.00

Atari 2600 Games with case and books..(missing labels are in the case)
I originally grabbed the mint Smurf cart with book asked price $3.00..then the lady said oh no that one is $5.00..
Her husband comes over and says no,these are not for sale individually hon....I want $20.00 for the whole case...So I bought the whole case..

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v21/Chris1/2005_0716_201750AAp.jpg

My dad bought two mini slot machines, another Airsoft gun,Dart board and a Jeweler drill set of two for $10.00 that cost $60.00+ each in stores as he deals with this stuff(works)..His SCORE!!!
(something I see him use all the time and would Never IMO find at a flea market,Glad I sent him to look in that box)

I went back out today and picked up:

Chopper Attack (N64)
Flight of the Intruder (NES)

Then, I went to a thrift and saw 4 Genesis game boxes. However, freaking theives stole the games inside them.
I wasn't angry at the fact that the games weren't in them, because they were all sports titles anyways. Its just, who steals from thrift stores?
Whatever, I went to the front with the 4 boxes and asked if I could have them, I tossed them a buck and they said that would be cool.

Today was pretty crappy. I went to far too many garage sales where people told me that they sold games to someone else...looks like I've got a collecting rival in my area! So after being shot down, I decided to change my route a bit.

Lo and behold, the first sale I go to in this area has a Saturn w/ 2 controllers, Nights, Panzer dragoon demo, and a loose Gex for $10. I didn't buy it because It was dirty as hell, and I've already got like 3 saturns and all those games. But the important thing is that IT WAS THERE. So, I'm going to stick around that area from now on.

However, I didn't come home empty-handed. I found this neat little thing:

Whee, the first time in weeks that I've been bothered to get up and go to the markets. Went with Dreamcaster and Tribaldemon (Mr Lurker himself) and found the following:

White Japanese Sega Saturn with no cords but with a 3D contoller that I had to buy seperately because the person that had it is a crap seller and does not like to bargain!

Saturn: $20 (woo, no buying a $40 Action Replay for me!)
Controller: free! (this was good because it's a 3D contoller and I don't have one... and Tribes bought it for me because he wubs me)

I've got cords and stuff because I have a boxed PAL Saturn, so I'm going to buy a step down converter today and play NiGHTS goodness.

The games:

Battletoads for MegaDrive - $5, complete
Legend Of Zelda for NES - $5, loose
Pac Man for NES - $5, loose

Also a little annoyed I couldn't bargain down the loose NES games because unfortunately the old lady selling them knew what they were. "This is good title! It very popular!" Oh well. It's still nice to have them.

King Of Fighters Iori poster: $5

Pretty cloth poster that usually would cost around $20. I like it a lot. Iori is hottt. I don't have room to hang it up, so I will put it on my window.

And here is a picture:

Got five SMS games at a locally-owned store today:
Ghostbusters (no manual); $2.99
Transbot (no manual or card sleeve, but the 1986 Sega games catalog is still in it); $2.99
F-16 Fighting Falcon (no plastic card sleeve, does that take away from the complete rating?); $2.99
Spy vs. Spy (no manual, but it has the card sleeve); $2.99
Alex Kidd in Shinobi World (no manual, drat!); $3.99

Even better, today was 20% off day there, so I really paid less than $13 for all those before tax.

Also got the Blues Brothers 2000 movie soundtrack. $7.99 minus 20%.

From Hastings, I picked up:

I thought for a brief moment you were from Hastings. I'm from Hastings :(

Anyway...

Arrived very early this morning and spent just fifteen pounds.

I saw my first ever Saturn goodies (unboxed console, and two stands with a small selection of good condition games). I promptly snapped up Duke Nukem 3D (practically mint) for a couple of quid.

These Mega Drive games take my total to 77 (3 loose). The condition is mixed. Most have manuals, but Super Street Fighter II's inside is screwed.

Tiberian Sun has no CD (which was a bit disappointing), but everything else is present and in excellent condition. Only cost 50p :)

The loose Mega Drive carts were 50p for both, while the boxed variety were a quid each. C&C with Covert Operations boxset (complete with mint CDs) was £1.

I'm not sure... but I don't think they are American releases.

Ah, that explains it. Still, stadium events PAL goes for over $100 if I remember correctly.

It's kinda funny, because everytime one pops up on auctions sites here in Sweden they go for 20 $ complete.

Proof? I never seen it for sale complete in Sweden.

These Mega Drive games take my total to 76 (3 loose). The condition is mixed. Most have manuals, but Super Street Fighter II's inside is screwed.

Tiberian Sun has no CD (which was a bit disappointing), but everything else is present and in excellent condition. Only cost 50p :)

Well, I can't give you any proof ;), but there was one on www.tradera.com (auctions) 5 months ago that was complete. It ended on 20 $. Otherwise, they tend to pop up about once a month.

5 months ago is a long time ago. And what about the 4 other months. How much did they go for then? Since you say they pop up once a month.

Small collection for this weekend.

These were from EB and the total cost was $9 after the sales cuts and with the Edge Card.

Heres the sweet find from a local game store:

Action RPG's rock! It wasn't a bargain though, I did pay $20. Is it complete? Was there anything else that origionally came with Alundra besides the oversized instruction booklet and small map?

I have to stop buying crappy games, they're littering my collection, Ikari Warriors, Contra: Legacy of War... blech.

Nice find on that Marvel vs. Capcom 2. I had a discussion with some guy in EB just the other day about how hard it is to find those for under $50 used. I've got it on Dreamcast, but I refuse to play it...

Mike

So, how'd you manage to get Snatcher? Where'd you find it, and what was the price?

I got all those sega cd games together off ebay. I just emailed the guy (who is normally a coin seller) and asked him if he had a buy it now price in his head for all those games, emailed me back and said $10 shipped. Best part is I only needed snatcher and Farenheit so I sold the other 3 to my friend for $5. So really I got snatcher for $2.50.

So I decided to check out some garage sales this weekend. Unbelievably, I went 3 for 5 with finding video games. The first garage sale I found a CIB NES in great condition. The price was $10 but I got it for $8. The second garage sale was a bust. The third one I got a 6 switch Atari with 14 games, 3 controllers and all the hookups. I also got 2 boxes of hockey card packs (uppperdeck and score). Got these items for only $8. The next garage sale I picked up a Clockwork Orange record for .50 and the last garage sale I picked up a NES deck and Qbert table top arcade (in bad condition) both for $4. So in all I spent 1hr and $20 and came back with a huge load of games.

I was beginning to give up on finding pre PSX stuff in the wild lately. This summer I’ve been through 2 major community garage sales and found nothing. It’s good to see that there are still good items in the wild!!

Here's the loot:

All for $20!
